Apologies I’ve been awol lately, I’ve had some health problems discovered recently. No wonder I was so burnout and exhausted.

After closing the shop and stripping everything back thinking it was other things… I started this year still feeling awful and with several other symptoms so got checked out and discovered there’s other reasons for it than stress and burnout.

Anyhoo… I am still here, I’ve not disappeared and been quietly grooming away. Thanks to everyone who’s booked recently and welcome to all my new customers 🐾❤️

I’m now taking bookings for May.

Please note that my calendar is getting busy which is great news for me but not so much for you if you leave until the last minute 😕

🐾⭐️ Moose came in for his first big boy cut last week and was an absolute little superstar ⭐️🐾

Where did those ears come from? 🤭

He was my first teddy bear cut on a Mini Schnauzer and I’m pretty proud of how it turned out ☺️❤️

Looking forward to seeing Moose again in 6 weeks time to help maintain his coat and cut.

Just wanted to also say thanks to his owners for trusting me with Moose’s first cut, we had lots of fun ☺️❤️

So much change in 2025.

Thank you to each and every one of you for the memories and support. I miss the shop and all of you a lot, it was such a lovely vibe 🐾❤️

I’m grateful to still be able to groom 3 days a week and thank the team at Doolittle Pets and Groomers for the warm welcome.

Appreciate those of you that still support my business with the likes, follows, word of mouth recommendations and custom.

Last two grooms tomorrow before I take time off over the festive period. I’ll be back in on Monday 29th December to fill the weird gap between Christmas and New Year 🤣🐾

💜 Sweet Molly 💜

Molly came in this morning very nervous and her Mum was too. The memo was “get whatever you can done” 😐

So with that in mind I belly strapped her and used a soft muzzle as quickly realised that Molly hated the clippers, the noise of them, the feel of them. It freaked her out and I didn’t want to get bitten!

She was flinching at every touch. Rather than force her through the groom as she was clearly distraught I decided to ditch the clippers and scissor the lot!! ✂️🐾

I was able to remove the muzzle, use a slow and gentle touch to complete the groom. Was able to bathe her with some soothing tunes in the background, that was more for me than her! 😂

I put the dryer down low and removed the nozzle to lower the noise and the force of the air, it was like a gentle warm breeze. She wasn’t happy with it but with some encouragement allowed it. Luckily her type of fur dries quickly and made this possible. Thank goodness 🙏

Other than not liking her front legs or feet touched but tolerating it to a degree she was an absolute star! ⭐

Not gonna say she enjoyed it 😂 but… we both got through the groom with as little stress or trauma as possible. Hoping over time I’ll be able to earn her trust a little more each visit.

It’s not always possible and every dog is different, acknowledging it was mainly the clippers she hated, adjusting the groom and listening to her needs paid off his time. 🙏🐾💜
