I just wanted to say a massive thank you to everyone who applied for our temporary Grooming Assistant position at Mutz Cutz.

The response has been absolutely incredible, and I genuinely appreciate everyone who took the time to apply, send a message, or share the post. It wasn’t an easy decision with so many lovely applicants.

🐾 A little personal request from me, Dawn! 🐾

I’m hoping our lovely doggy community might be able to help me with a recommendation. ❤️

As some of you know, I’m having hip surgery in August and I’m looking for a reliable, experienced dog walker to help with my own two girls, Nellie & Dolly, while I’m recovering.

📍 This is for me personally at home in Clayton-le-Woods, Chorley — not at Mutz Cutz.

I’d really like to find someone soon so the girls can meet them beforehand, have a few walks together and make sure everyone is happy before I’m out of action!

I’d especially love personal recommendations — if you have a dog walker you know and trust with your own dogs, please tag them below or pop their details in the comments. 🐶❤️

We've been blown away by the response to our Dog Grooming Salon Assistant vacancy and would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has applied.

We've had lots of interest, so applications are now officially closed.

Over the next week, I'll be working my way through them all and will be in touch directly with those I wish to take forward to the next stage.

🐾 We’re Hiring – Dog Grooming Salon Assistant 🐾

We’re looking for a friendly, reliable dog lover to join our busy grooming salon on a temporary basis, with the potential for the role to become permanent for the right person.

This would be a great opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in a professional dog grooming salon.

Duties will include:
Bathing and drying dogs, brushing, general dog handling, keeping the salon clean and tidy, supporting the groomers, and helping the day run smoothly.

Hours: Up to 30 hours per week
Experience: Helpful, but not essential — the right attitude, reliability, and confidence around dogs matter most.

You’ll need to be hardworking, calm, caring, and happy to get stuck in — this is a very hands-on role and does involve wet dogs, hair, noise, cleaning, and plenty of waggy tails!

☀️🐾 HOT WEATHER UPDATE 🐾☀️

Just a little note to say that whilst we are OPEN as normal, we are keeping a very close eye on these temperatures and assessing things on a day-by-day basis.

As always, your dogs' safety and wellbeing come first. ❤️

If we feel conditions are becoming too hot for your dog, we may contact you to rearrange your appointment. We know this can be inconvenient, so we really appreciate your patience and understanding whilst we navigate this hot spell together.

We would also kindly ask that, where possible, dogs are brought to the salon by car rather than being walked. A walk in these temperatures followed by a groom can simply be too much for some dogs.

You may also notice your dog leaves the salon slightly damp after their groom. This is completely intentional and helps them stay cool and comfortable on their journey home. 🐶💦

Unfortunately, we're dog groomers, not weather controllers 😂, so we'll be taking each day as it comes and making sensible decisions to keep all our furry friends safe.
