I’M LOOKING FOR MY FOREVER HOME 🐱

“I’ve lived at Victoria Park Vets for the past 11 days, and although they’re taking really good care of me, I’d really like to find my forever home”.

No one has come forward for this lovely boy, though a few people have came to see him hoping he was their missing cat, but unfortunately not.

He doesn’t like other cats and wouldn’t tolerate being an indoor cat, so ideally he needs a home on a farm like environment with minimal cats so he can live semi feral.

We will neuter and microchip him free of charge and try our best to find the perfect home for this lovely cat. Potential new owners will be vet checked accordingly.

New laws for cats to be microchipped from June 2024 - please read below

Gentle reminder to cat owners.

If you have read my introduction post you will know that my current full time job is in a local vets as an ACA (also knows as an auxiliary nurse or Animal care assistant)

I absolutley love this role and have picked up alot of useful knowledge and information that I am happy to share when I can.
This is the reason my services are currently available weekends only and will hopefully be able to take the leap in the near future to pursue my services full time 🥰

That being said I would like to also share information with you that will hopefully be helpful for pet owners.
The laws regarding microchipping cats are changing and all cats will be required to be chipped from June 2024.

As well as this being the law and to avoid the possibility of being fined for not having your cat microchipped, it's also extremely useful to help reunite cats that may be lost, stolen or injured with their family as quickly as possible 💕

DOG FOSTER HOMES NEEDED 🐶

As all rescues will agree, the situation we face right now is the worst it has been. We have over 20 new intake forms a day of dogs needing our help, these are not including the ones waiting in the pound who have their euthanasia date booked.

We need to help them, we want to help them but unfortunately our rescue is full. We have dogs in emergency boarding, in our meet and greet rooms and we simply do not have the funds to continue paying for boarding.

- We are looking for foster homes who are able to care for this dog for atleast 4 weeks.
- You must have experience of having or caring for a dog before.
- Your own transport is a must, you must be able to bring them back to rescue for a viewings or vet appointments if needed (we will of course work this around you)
- COMMITMENT is our biggest requirement, you mustn’t give up after the first hurdle. Please understand some of these dogs may never of lived in a home before, you may have the occasional sleepless night or accident.

In return we will cover all food and vet fee’s, we will be in regular contact for updates and provide any support you may need.

A lot of these dogs will need assessing therefore we are ideally looking for pet free fosters or somebody with a very relaxed and well behaved neutered dog. No young children under the age of 10yrs.
