I am absolutely LOVING practicing these more stylised trims in the salon 🫶🏻 thank you to all my clients who allow me the freedom of doing pretty much whatever I want to practice ahead of embarking on a new chapter entering in groom comps! 😬😆

Biscuit the cavapoochon in today for her 6 weekly teddy bear makeover. Her coat is incredibly thick and knots so easily so she has a short easy to maintain body with Teddy head, long ears and tail 🤎

I re-poodle’d Ralph and Rosie 🐩

Rosie and Ralph have been in Teddy trims for a while now (Ralph his whole life as he’s only 9 months old) and their owner wanted to re-poodle them after seeing Suzie’s recent cuts 🫶🏻 I absolutely LOVE a traditional poodle and being able to see their whole face 🤍

I absolutely love their new looks 🫶🏻 Rosie has unfortunately got quite matted so had to be shorter than we would have liked but it’s grow back for a cuter look next time! 🧡

It’s tiring being famous 😴💤🥱 how hilarious is this…. Someone recognised Honey on the street this week and said to her owner ‘I know this dog from Facebook’ 😂😂😂😂 it’s a struggle being the post child for Teddy bear cuts at The Posh Pet

Honey has a brush out/bath with me atleast once a week, I’m obsessed with her and she is so settled and happy on the table 🫶🏻 it’s very rewarding when dogs come on so much with their response to grooming, it’s my absolutely favourite part of the job 🤍

Chico’s transformation 🤩🐩

Delighted to have another traditional poodle in the salon! Chico is a 10 month old Phantom Toy Poodle with very striking markings and a lovely coat that holds so nicely! Sadly Chico is a very passionate tap dancer 🤣 so getting any kind of finish on his legs and feet is really tricky but with some time and desensitisation fingers crossed we’ll get there!

Honey’s transformation 🤩 Honey has become a bit of a local celeb due to her growing so long and fluffy over the past 16 weeks without a groom! Many of you will have seen Honey around and I can’t wait for you to all see her new look! 🐻

I did a brilliant training day with .dog.grooming, I learnt SO much and I’m so excited to put it all into practice! With that said I have a couple of spaces on my books for new clients. Ideally poodles/doodles who like the Teddy looks and the Asian flair 💁🏻‍♀️✨💫

Creating a comfortable environment for the dogs to relax before and after their groom as well as when having breaks throughout their groom is so important for us. We see first hand how much it benefits them and therefore gives us a perfect excuse to go shopping 🤣 the boucle teddy fleece duvet on the bench seat is a firm favourite 🤩

🚨 Exciting Announcement! 🚨

I’m running my very first seminar! A seminar for dog owners, led by me, who want to learn how to maintain their dogs longer coats at home!

I get people constantly in my salon wanting their dogs in longer trims but finding the maintenance at home difficult so I’m here to help to show you EXACTLY what to do!

In the seminar I will cover:
- A live demo on a long coated doodle showing a basic quick brushing routine, a more thorough brushing routine AND a full maintenance bathing routine.
- Safe and correct use of all at home grooming equipment
- How to save money on grooming by avoiding matting charges and going longe between appointments
- How to reduce coat breakage and achieve optimal coat health
- All the products I use and recommend and how to use them effectively
- Safe and correct nail care
- Techniques to help your dog enjoy the grooming process (yes including brushing!)
- Recognising stress signals and physical discomfort in your dog during grooming and what to do about it
- Safe, secure and cooperative handling
- Info pack to take home with a free gift
- Unlimited tea and coffee
- OPTIONAL EXTRA: workshop in the afternoon where you bring your dog and I will take you through the whole maintenance bath process with your dog in the salon (very limited spaces)

Seminar only price: £50
Seminar + Workshop price: £100

Date: Saturday 14th March
Seminar time: 9am
Workshop time: from 1pm (you’ll be given an allocated time slot)

Some recent grooms by Maddie ✂️ 🐩 and their owner briefs:

Rosie, Toy Poodle - Currently in a Teddy cut but want her to look more like a poodle, longer top knot, shorter beard and rounded ears 🐶 she also has a poodle pom tail! 🐩

Herbert and Florence, Cockapoos - Part time farm dogs, part time pampered pooches. Make them look ‘posh’ but easy ish to maintain, Florence matts easier and doesn’t like being brushed so shorter than Herbert but still cute. Short bodies, longer styled legs, short beards and ears and everything ROUND 🧸

Suzie, Standard Poodle - Traditional Modern Poodle Trim. Suzie is my dog and I am going to be doing grooming competitions this year with her so I am practicing this groom 🐩 it’s mostly hand scissored all different lengths allover

Bella, Cockapoo - nice and round and like a teddy bear 🧸

Biscuit, Cavapoochon - CRUFTS GROOM, Biscuit is going to crufts this week so she needs to be looking tip top! She super easily so nice short easy to maintain body with rounded edges, super round head but keep her ears LONG 🫶🏻

Ted, Cavapoo - easy to maintain body with cute rounded head, another Teddy bear! This boy has the most glorious ears 😍

Just some pretty girls I’ve groomed recently 💅🏻🎀💕

When I started grooming I did it thinking it was a maintenance thing but turns out I’m obsessed with making dogs look super pretty and I can’t wait to put bows in Suzie’s hair 🤣

Anyone with a pretty girl to groom - I’m ya gal 🙋🏻‍♀️🫶🏻

Also I’ve got big plans next year to make the salon SUPER CUTE and also super comfy for your dogs!
