A little update for those who wanted to know how Aubree got on with her surgery
It definitely didn't go to plan!
Aubree went down under general anaesthetic at about 9am yesterday and very quickly her oxygen levels dropped so much that the team were very worried about her. They couldn't stabilise her breathing for long enough to carry out her planned surgery but they x-rayed her chest and put a camera into her lung to see why she was reacting the way she was and found she had fluid on her lung which meant a possible chest infection that we had no idea about as she hadn't shown any signs of one!
They drained some off to send to the labs and had to bring her back around again and have her on oxygen for a while. So she's been put on antibiotics for now but they might have to change depending on the results of the sample sent off.
The main thing is that Aubree is thankfully absolutely fine now, just a little irritable due to a sore throat from having the tubes in etc however it does mean that she has had to have the surgery rebooked and I now have appointments to reschedule and availability next week where I was taking time off for her recovery π
If your pet's appointment is going to be affected I will be in touch over the next few days to sort a new date and I'd like to day thank you in advance for your patience and understanding π
Picture of the little trouble maker yesterday before all the drama ππ
