So I cancelled all groups on Tuesday, far too hot for humans let alone dogs!
Yesterday and today have been early sessions to avoid the afternoon peak. The dogs have enjoyed lots of water play, treat bobbing, frozen treats and shady sniffing!

This is a great new addition to the Pawesome Playground; encouraging the dogs to explore a variety of scents and textures stimulating their brains and fulfilling their natural instincts to sniff and explore.

Todays plant is rosemary!
Rosemary is another good herb for dogs, its aroma promotes relaxation and it is also safe for dogs to eat (in small quantities).
Eating small amounts of rosemary can freshen a dogs breath and support gut health, helping to reduce bloating.
Bonus: the scent is also a natural deterrent to fleas and ticks!

This week is all about PLANTS!! 🪴

The brand new sniffing area includes some highly scented, dog safe herbs; first up is sage!
Sage is a great herb to include in a doggy sensory garden, there are lots of different varieties and it is also safe for dogs to eat!
Sniffing is a naturally calming activity and botanical aromas encourage dogs to relax, much like when humans use candles or essential oils!
