Terry Pearson (Head of Commercial Developments & Estate) & Sian Clark (Area Manager & Marketing Operations Lead) had a fantastic evening at the National Family Business of the Awards 2026 ceremony! We were runners up for the People's Choice Award for Yorkshire, AND made the list for the National People's Choice Award Champions! 🥳

Back in 2011, Chairman & Founder Dr Rob Jones MRCVS opened our first surgery. We’ve since grown to 12 (soon to be 13) surgeries, individually serving their local communities. We're proudly independent and family owned - and that will never change. 🧡

⚠️ New legislation affecting owners of banned dog breeds is coming into force later this year.

From 1 November 2026, owners must not leave children under 12 unsupervised with an exempted banned breed dog in a private setting. The change aims to reduce the risk of serious injuries to children while promoting responsible dog ownership.

Our in-house RVN and Pet Behaviourist, Rachel Green, welcomes the focus on child safety and reminds owners that no child should ever be left alone with a dog, regardless of breed.
In our latest article, we explain:

🐾 What the new rules mean
🐾 Key dates owners need to know
🐾 Changes to insurance requirements
🐾 Warning signs that a dog may be feeling uncomfortable around children

We know we’ve been a little quiet on here lately, but for a very good reason! 🐾🩺

We’ve been incredibly busy giving lots of love and care to our wonderful patients, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. From routine check-ups to those extra-special moments of care, it’s been a whirlwind of wagging tails and cozy purrs.

Here’s a look at some of the adorable faces that have been keeping us on our toes. Swipe through to see who’s been visiting us! 👇

Has your pet been in to see us recently? We’d love to hear how they’re doing—drop a photo of them in the comments, or let us know how your week is going!

⚠️ Tick Season Advice ⚠️

Warmer weather means ticks are out in full force! You can protect your furry friends with these simple steps:

✅ Daily Checks: Get into the habit of checking your pet for small, pea-sized lumps after every walk. Pay extra attention to the ears, head, neck, armpits, and between the toe

✅ Preventative Care: Consistent, vet-approved parasite protection is the most effective way to keep your pet safe

✅ Safe Removal: If you find a tick, don’t panic! Use a proper tick-removal tool to twist it off. Avoid burning or using lotions, which can be ineffective or harmful.

❤️‍🩹 Sweet Nelly was very brave whilst having a tick removed from her nose by our Student Vet Nurse Ava!
