Hello, my name is Lisa and i am the proud owner of 'Gentle touch' dog grooming. In the comfort of my home your best friend will be treated with kindness, care and respect. All visitors to my table will be able to move around , sit, lay and even sleep if he/she so chooses as i use no restraints , just gentle handling and treats allowing your best friend to display natural dog behaviours whilst in my care.

Good evening Gentle Touch family I hope you are all bearing up in the heat.
Sadly, I have to share with you the passing of another fur baby family member.
Sonny was such a darling chap and I had the honour of being his groomer for a number of years. Sonny was always gentle, calm, and loving and he was a joy to spend time with. We had a great understanding I shall miss him terribly but I know he had a wonderful life with a devoted family. Shine bright Sonny.

Good evening Gentle touch family.
Being a dog groomer, your dog groomer isn’t just about cutting hair, nice smells, bows, bandanas and photos. It’s about building relationships with families and their fluffy family members , it’s about building trust, and making every visit better than the last. I have the honour of doing this on as daily basis. Sadly, there are times when smiles turn to sadness and today is one of those days.
This morning I received some devastating news. A beautiful Gentle touch family member crossed Rainbow bridge unexpectedly and suddenly.
My darling little friend Beau passed away suddenly last night, despite the efforts of her family and vet.
Beau was a beautiful soul, always gentle, calm and considerate. I had worked with Beau for many years and we understood each other. I’m going to miss her terribly.
Shine bright darling Beau, auntie Lisa will miss you ###

She’s home!!!!!
Double cataract surgery , multiple eye drops doing different things being administered every 6 hours plus pain meds ,steroids and the cone of shame etc BUT she’s home with the most beautiful brown eyes, no grey/blue shadows, full sight and as usual a gentle, happy, spirited
soul. My little girl Willow (12)has been through so so much since she was diagnosed with diabetes.
Sooooo good to have get home x

Good evening Gentle Touch family. Firstly my apologies for not posting pics of your beautiful fur babies, between working and nanny duties on Fridays it’s all been a bit manic although it’s wonderful having my grandson and I love being a nanny and getting away with making silly noises etc 🤪🥴
As some of you know my little Shihpoo Willow was diagnosed with diabetes at the end of last year. Navigating changes in diet insulin amounts, urine tests, diabetes curves and needles is quite a learning curve.
Sadly due to the diabetes, Willow has formed cataracts in both eyes and at present can only see shadows in her right eye. She undergoes double cataract surgery tomorrow and once complete she will have 20/20 vision (better than me, that’s for sure) and cataracts will not form again as she will have artificial lenses and they won’t be affected by diabetes . She is currently in the specialist hospital and won’t be home til Thursday. The hospital has just called and she has eaten and is comfortable. I feel like I’ve lost a limb!

Please welcome a new Gentle Touch family member. This is Teddy who came for his introduction to grooming. With new surroundings, sights,smells and my face he did an incredible job.
Building a rapport and relationship with every family member is key to harmony, calm and enjoyment.
