We feel we need to make a statement regarding a recent interaction with a customer.

We were recently made aware of the unfortunate death of a spider reported by a customer.

only after the spider had already passed, with no prior concerns raised.

We want to be clear: every spider we sell is healthy at the time of leaving us feeding on at least green bottle flys and 8-10mm in size

Once an animal has left our care, there are limits to what we can control regarding its ongoing welfare.

In this case, other spiders from the same group and environment continue to thrive, in their new homes and also the stock we have left.

which suggests that the issue is not related to the original health or quality of our stock.

Sadly, spider deaths can occur for a variety of reasons, including the environment conditions, husbandry, stress, or natural causes.

We always aim to be fair, consistent, and transparent in how we handle situations like this.

For that reason, we cannot agree to compensation, demands or discounts when policies have been clearly applied and no prior issue was reported.

We encourage all customers to reach out as soon as possible if they have any concerns so we can offer guidance and support.

Leaving negative feedback because we have upheld our policies is disappointing,

but we will continue to stand by fair and consistent practices for all.

📸 Feeding day turned into a full-on photoshoot!

This gorgeous Blue Mountains jumping spider clearly understood the assignment… instead of just grabbing a snack, this little diva decided to be extra friendly and strike some poses for the camera. 🕷️✨

Bold, curious, and clearly not camera shy exactly why we love jumping spiders so much.
