We would like to remind anyone visiting this page that since 30/9/2023 we no longer provide dog care services at Zip World.
We are still receiving messages and requests for dog care based on our Google ratings and reviews.

We started providing the service 5 years ago and it developed into a very valuable and integral part of the visitor experience to Zip World. We hope someone with the same commitment and passion would continue with it.

We would like to remind all of our customers that any dog care that has taken place at Zip World since the 30th of September 2023 has not been us, and we are in no way associated with it.

Zip World are not currently offering a dog sitting service but are looking into continuing this in the future, as it's been a brilliant asset to their sites and to their guests.

Good Morning.
We have now fully closed the on site dog care service we provided at Zip World.
We have been in discussion with other parties to take it over but nothing confirmed as yet.

We would like to pass on our since gratitude to the thousands of customers who have supported us during the past years but time has come for us to move on with our lives.

Summer 2023.
We will be closed at both Zip World sites on Sundays during the school holidays.
Daily we will close at 5pm but occasionally may extend that particularly at Penrhyn Quarry.

September 2022 Closing dates.

We will be closed from 4th Sept reopening on 10th Sept at the Slate Caverns, Llechwedd, Bleanau Ffestiniog.

The dog care at Penrhyn Quarry, Bethesda will be open during limited times between Monday 5th and Friday 9th September to cover existing bookings.

We will not be available by telephone after pm on 3rd September so please leave a message and we will respond on 10th.

SUMMER 2022.

We will be closed at both sites from 18th June 2022, reopening on 29th June.
Any enquiries for bookings after this time please get in touch via email and we will respond on 27th June onwards.
Please don’t worry we still have plenty of availability during the summer.
During the school holidays we will be closed 1 day a week which are Sundays.

We don’t post very often, however we want to share this true incident that occurred this morning (17/7/21).
I arrived at our dog care facility at Zip World in Bethesda, for pre booked appointments. After opening up I saw a young couple go to the rear of our cabin and recover their dog which they had abandoned in a crate while they had a great time on the activities some distance away. The dog was a King Charles Cavalier and had been left in a small crate. The temperature is about 26 degrees cent with not a cloud in the sky. The area is baking due to the heat reflection off the slate.
For some reason the couple seemed offended when I called them and their actions disgusting. If I had found the dog when I arrived the Police and RSPCA would have been called.
Sadly this and other similar behaviour by dog owners has increased this year. Sorry for sounding angry but it seems the fashion accessory sometimes becomes a burden, when owners bring their dogs on holiday but fail to consider or plan for the pets welfare.
I obviously offended these two when I called them disgusting, this is not my usual choice of language in that situation it would be very raw.
They seemed to have no idea of the risks to the dog from so many aspects but more concerned they had been caught and confronted.
Rant over. Please consider your dog when you come away. Don’t abandon it, don’t leave it in your car. Plan some care.
On a side note, Thank you to all our customers so far this year. It’s been very busy and looks to continue. Feel free to contact us for on site dog care at Zip World. We work off bookings but sometimes can open up with an hours notice.

Nancy loves a muddy wallow with her beloved blue pipe.
She is making the most of the last few days before she helps us re open the Pet Stop @ Zip World on 26th April.
We are now taking bookings for our dog care service located on site at Zip World Penrhyn Quarry and Slate Caverns, Bleanau Ffestiniog.
It looks like a busy summer ahead so feel free to make an enquiry about our service when visiting the attractions.
