Behind this door in Sloanhill Court, Lurgan, 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝗱𝗼𝗴𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝗮𝗱.

Residents had been raising the alarm after noticing large numbers of flies coming from the property and fearing dogs had been left inside.

Sadly, they were right.

I am absolutely disgusted.

The PSNI, Council and Arbour Housing were all aware of issues around this property. So 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝗸𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁, 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗶𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗲?

How was this allowed to get to the point where two dogs were dead?

I have requested an urgent meeting with the PSNI, Council and Arbour Housing. I want the full facts and answers for residents.

⚠️ I have also asked the PSNI to take action over the cruelty and neglect of these dogs. 𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲.

The notice pictured on this door is a Notice of Abandonment in relation to the property. The tenant has not been there and is known locally. Anyone who knows their whereabouts, or has information which could assist the PSNI, should contact them.
