Dougliehill Dog Boarding Kennels Safe and secure dog kennels available for holidays or day boarding. We have 20 heated kennels with both inside and outside runs. Introductory offer £15 per day.

Daily food and exercise provided. Individual kennels are largest in Inverclyde.

Please meet the newest member of our family, Nero. Where to begin with describing this guy.

Nero is a 2 year old Doberman Pincher. He was originally imported from Eastern Europe.

What a magnificent specimen of a Doberman Nero is.

Doberman’s were originally bred in Germany, mostly bred as guard dogs. With their sleek coat, athletic build and regal appearance these dogs look like the perfect regal aristocrats.

They’re highly energetic and smart dogs who perform well in police and military work, canine sports, and as family guardians and companions.

Lhasa Apso’s are originally from Tibet where they were highly regarded palace and monastery watchdogs. Although this isn’t the case anymore, this little family companion will loyally guard their family from danger.

Meet Donald and Fonzi. Donald is a Westie and Fonzi is a British Bulldog.

Westies are friendly and happy, with a lively nature that endears them to everyone especially when they c**k their heads to the side and look at you quizzically.

Sometimes British Bulldogs are called English Bulldogs. Despite cartoon depictions of them as ferocious dogs, today’s Bulldogs are bred to be affectionate and kind. They are, indeed, resolute and courageous, but they aren’t out to pick a fight. They often have a calm dignity about them when they are mature, and while they are friendly and playful, they can be a bit stubborn and protective of their families. Bulldogs love people.

Here we have the lovely Charlie. Charlie is a beautiful basset hound girl, with a sweet nature who just wants to play and snuggle and be fussed over and make you smile.

The name basset hound comes from the french word bas, meaning low. And basset hounds are certainly low to the ground. Because their bones are heavy and they are muscular they are slow movers but are still eager to give anything a try.
