Luna our amazing New member to our family . Enjoying her first trip to Scotland. As a young pup she travels with us everywhere we introduce things she is not shore about . Like seaweed and rock pools , swinging signs. She met up with many other animals she saw Sheep and Goats, Deer, Birds of Prey ,Frogs, all on her Lead She was calm and respectful to all other animals. She is our little Star ⭐💗

I would like to introduce you all to Luna our New member to Gentlelead Family. Since Holly and Berry's passing over the Rainbow 🌈 Bridge last year our Home was very Quiet . Luna is 4 months old . She is very intelligent Puppy learning every day.

A Difficult Subject , DOG GRIEF , As many of you know we Lost Holly our beloved Lab a few weeks ago ,
Berry is our Whippet x Collie She has been missing Holly and Grieving for her . Last week her immune system was low and she picked up Kennel Cough She is getting better now . The thing is Berry went to the Vets and all protocol for Kennel cough was observed. But when I said to the vet that she was low and had lost her best friend Recently he turned and said well that only lasts 2 weeks a dog grieving. Which we felt was so wrong . Holly and Berry had been together for 11 years . When your Dogs have been together for such a long time they do miss each other. Berry came in our Van with us to the Vets she saw how ill Holly was we hid nothing from her , Berry Stay in the Van when Holly cross the RAINBOW BRIDGE Although she new Holly didn't come home with us Berry still looks for her best Mate. THIS IS NORMAL . Berry will continue to miss Holly she will have UP and DOWN Days This is NORMAL . Run Free Beautiful Holly ######

Holly’s Bio.
She was a Survivor

Holly was a Rescue Puppy
In 2009 Holly came to us through a Dog Rescue, In her Litter there was only 2 Puppies that survived,
When she went to the Vets for her Health check the vet commented about her Hips and said she had Hip Dysplasia she was only 8 to 12 weeks old at the time . He said she would have problems and advised to put her to sleep. I took her Home I looked in to alternatives to help the Hips and found an article that introducing fish oils in to a Dogs diet was good for their Joints.
Holly was on raw feeding so I introduced Oily fish to her diet also her training treats I used Dried sprats as they still contain natural oils. Holly absolutely loved them.
When Holly went back to the Vets to be Spade the Vet examined her Hips and x-rayed her Hips , His words were although she has Hip Dysplasia her Hips were in good condition and had improved in there movement.

Holly became the Face of Gentlelead demonstrating all our Leads and Halters.
In 2010 ish Berry a whippet x bearded collie came to join Holly in our Family Berry came to us with very poorly stomach and had been in several foster homes . We started raw feeding with Berry in the matter of Days / weeks her stomach had settled and she managed to put on weight.
Holly became Berry’s adoptive Mum and Taught her outside was for Poos and Pees not to be frightened of scary noises how to have fun .
Holly and Berry loved there walks and playing in the fields , Berry knew Holly could not run fast so they use to love playing ball on a rope Berry would run across the field to get the Ball, Holly would run a little after her then Berry had got the ball and would bring it back to Holly then they would both bring it back to Me . People use to laugh at them carrying the ball together . When I explained Holly had bad hips but loved to join in they thought Berry was amazing Dog.
After Holly had been exercising I would give her Natural Herbal Homeopathic Arnica & Gelsemium which were small sugar tablets The Arnica would help the Joints and inflammation in them after she had exercised. The Gelsemium to aid the Muscles to relax , Holly would have 2 rest days after exercising and Just short lead walks on her rest days.

The 2 dogs Loved their Lives together.

In 2016 Holly started Limping on her front shoulder so I took her to the Vet and he diagnosed Bone cancer , there was no treatment for it .
I said to the Vet that we would live each day to the full and celebrate each new day we all have together.
I allowed Holly to Free run and enjoy her walks in the forest to the full As with Humans and Dogs alike when you have a terminal illness a Positive Mental Attitude Helps.
Being a Lab she loved to Roll in Mud Fox Poo what ever smelt good to her and would love to share it with you . This was great to see her enjoying life we would let her stand i streams and wash her self swim in the sea and be herself.
After Her free runs she would have Arnica & Gelsemium to aid her joints and Muscles .
In 2020 Holly started to Limp more on her shoulders so we decided to go from Free running off lead to using Long lines and gentle walks.
Around this time we noticed that Holly ’s cancer had spread to her Bowel and possibly in to her stomach.
Holly was still Eating and enjoying her Life she was never Grumpy with us or Berry. We all went on Holidays To Scotland and we enjoyed Loch side walks and Paddles seeing the Dogs play on there Leads and walking on seaweed that would Move and them looking like Dad Mum where has the ground gone.
When we came back from Scotland we said the Dogs had loved there time there and so did we .
We both said lets hope Holly is with us for Christmas and our Next Holiday in Scotland.
Holly Made the Christmas and our Holiday in March in Scotland She loved sniffing in the Forests and around the Beaches.
On our return in June Holly Started to Struggle with her breathing in the Heat wave we had in the South.
Then on 2nd of July 2022 we went out to the New Forest the evening was cool and Holly struggled to walk a few 100 meters in the Forest .We went back to our Camper van and Holly led down and rested she got up and had her Last meal in the van .
We all came home and Holly rest on her bed for the rest of the evening she got up and went out for the toilet. The next morning Holly was struggling to move and her breathing was very Laboured .
We called the Vet and took Holly straight to him by this time Holly could not walk she had no Strength left in her .
We agreed with the vet the Kindest thing for Holly was to let her go to Sleep Holly passed away in our arms on 3rd of JULY 2022.
Run free our Beautiful Holly Thank you so Much for being in our Lives .
Being my Rock when I Lost my Brother and my Parents now you are all together over the Rainbow Bridge ###

Sadly Holly our Lab went over the Rainbow 🌈 bridge Today it was a Happy Release for her she had been unwell for a long time with cancer today she can Run free once again
