We’re going to start with Marmite. Hers is a horrible story to tell, but it happened so I’ll relay it. We met Marmite on our trip in March and one of our team totally fell in love with her so we added her to our list of future dogs to come to us. We were told that she’d been brought into the shelter because she was “too friendly”. After we left disaster befell her when a local person in Botosani “adopted her”. They took her home, put her on the end of a chain where she was to live out her life. When they next went to her they found her hanging from the chain as she’d desperately tried to escape and tried to clear a fence. Somehow she survived and, thank goodness, they returned her to the shelter. We cannot let humans let her down again, this is her time for a better life and we won’t fail her.
Marnie needs £270 to board the happy bus xx
