CAN YOU HELP?
This Christmas, Hope RescueHope Rescue are taking part in the Big Give, an amazing campaign that is a chance for donations to be doubled.
They are looking for companies or individuals who can pledge £100+ to create the match-funding pot (and the larger the pot, the more the Big Give are likely to add to it too).
Pledges need to be made by Friday 28th August, but you don’t have to pay it until mid December. Which means companies or groups have time to fundraise the amount if they wish.
They are aiming to raise £20k in pledges, they currently have £5,250 – could you help them get to £20k?
Why do they want £20k? Well, it costs £21 for a night in a kennel, and they are expecting at least 100 dogs this winter. The average length of stay for a stray dog is 30 nights. (£21 x 100 x 30 = £63k) if they can raise £20k, they could get £10k in champion funding – and then doubled! Which would raise £60k!

When the public donates to a charity through a Big Give campaign, we ask funders (philanthropists, foundations or corporates) to match that donation. So £50 from a member of the public, becomes £100 for a good cause.
