So my nearly 42 year career in dog grooming is over. I've had the pleasure of owning the business since 1990 and I've enjoyed every second and had the pleasure of grooming many fabulous dogs belonging to wonderful owners.

I can't thank you enough for the trust you have put in me over the years or for the lovely cards and gifts I have received over the last couple of weeks.
My dinning table looks like a florists shop, bottles of wine and chocolates are lovely and the homemade cake brought in this morning is scrumptious.

Now it's time for a change for the business.
Shannon is now the owner and will be continuing under her own business name of State of The Bark..

What a fabulous week. It definitely feels like summer is on it's way.

All regulars this week. It's been lovely seeing them for there final groom with me. Thank you all for your good wishes and kind words. Yes I will miss you all but i know I'm leaving the business in safe hands and hopefully completion will go through smoothly next week.

Important News Everyone.

It's looking like next week for the new owners to be taking over. Possibly the 29th we are just waiting on the final paperwork.

I will post an introduction to the new owner as soon as contracts are exchanged but I promise she is lovely and really excited to be taking over and meeting you all in due course.

A lovely selection of dogs this week to welcome me back from holiday even if the weather hasn't been very cheerful ☺.

Hopefully it won't be long before it starts to feel like summer ☀

Thanks to everyone who have asked about Zac.
He's had a rough week and we needed more anti nausea tablets from the vet on Monday.
Thankfully he is steadly improving and has eaten much better today ☺

I'm back open tomorrow after a lovely holiday in Carmarthenshire
Indi was just out of the cards at the show but I was really pleased with him and Reggie loved making new friends.

They all had a great time on Pendine Sands.

Unfortunately the week ended with a very poorly Zac. If you haven't heard of vestibular disease in older dogs please look it up.
Thankfully he appears to be recovering well but it will take a while for his mobility to recover properly.

I'm still waiting for a definite completion date but it's looking like about 3 weeks before the new owner will be taking over. I will post more details here when it's confirmed.
But in the mean time business as usual ☺

A nice short week for me ☺
I'm now off for Easter and a 3 day dog show in Carmarthen. Followed by some time to relax with the family.
Back open on Monday 13th April and will reply to any messages then.

Have a great Easter weekend but please be careful with all the chocolate about and remember it's poisonous for dog's.

A lovely selection of dogs this week.
Most of them are on a 6-8 week schedule but some go a bit longer between visits.

It's hard to believe it's already the end of March but it will be lovely next week with the start of British summer time and the lighter evenings ☺

What a fabulous week and isn't it wonderful to have the sunshine and dry dogs ☺

Many of you are asking about my retirement progress and I'm just waiting patiently for the sale to go through.
My buyer is also moving home and a slight delay with their chain means we are possibly looking at the end of April. So it looks like some of you have got me for 1 more groom. When I have anything confirmed I will let you all know.
I've already received some lovely cards and little gifts that is really kind and unexpected. You really are most wonderful clients thank you ♥
