🌲🤣 LEASH THE HOUNDS – WOODY’S DOUBLE-REFUSAL WOODS ADVENTURE 🤣🌲
Featuring: stubbornness at Olympic levels.
Today’s walk with Woody began with… resistance.
Not mild resistance.
Not casual hesitation.
FULL “I’m not doing that” mode.
When I arrived to pick him up, I gave him every opportunity to go to the toilet before we headed out.
Did he cooperate?
Absolutely not.
He stared into the middle distance like he was too important for such mortal activities.
Toilet? No thanks.
He had better things to not do.
Off we went to the woods.
Once there, he immediately activated his favourite hobby:
Refusing to walk
…but this time with scenic background trees.
Every few steps he stopped like he was protesting something only he could see.
A leaf?
The air?
The concept of movement?
Who knows.
Then came the squirrels.
SO many squirrels.
Woody wasn’t scared, excited, or bothered.
Just deeply, spiritually judgmental.
He watched them like a tiny park ranger who’d given up on enforcing rules.
Of course, because it’s me and Woody, the weather had to join in.
Rain.
Real rain.
Not drizzle — rain that makes you reconsider your life choices.
Woody did not approve.
He froze in place, soaking wet, glaring at me like I personally organised the sky to sabotage his afternoon.
We tried walking again.
Woody said no.
We tried again.
Still no.
At one point he gave me The Stare — the one that says,
“Carry me or suffer.”
Eventually, through a mixture of negotiating, bribery, and gentle pleading, we made it back toward the car at the speed of a slow-moving shopping trolley.
Woody got in, shook off ALL the water onto me, and sat down with a sigh like he’d survived something heroic.
Another fantastically silly episode of Woody vs. Absolutely Everything at Leash the Hounds. 🐶🌧️🐾
