Everyone thinks dog walkers spend summer praying for sunshine... ☀️ Well we do... but. It is like being in a toxic relationship!

The sunshine arrives and suddenly you're checking pavement temperatures, adjusting rotas, rearranging walks, watching the forecast and hoping it doesn't get any hotter 😅

YES we moan about the weather all the time. We treat it like stock traders!

When it rains, we're soaked.

When it's too hot, the dogs come first and walks get shortened, moved or cancelled.

Either way, Mother Nature likes to keep us on our toes 🤦🏻‍♀️

The dogs don't care whether it's raining or sunny.

They just want their walk.

And honestly? So do I ❤️🐾

Now if we could just have a nice steady 18°C, that would be greaaattt 😆

More visits for a wonderful 5 cat household! 4 of 5 cats have made an appearance so far and have enjoyed the attention and food! 🐈 🐈‍⬛I love doing cat visits and these babies are so beautiful! 💖

Pop in visits today for Toby and Oscar! 🐾 a toilet break, cuddles and attention, and making sure they have water and are happy and comfortable. As much as everybody enjoys going out for a nice walk, and the guilt is so real not taking them out when they are so excited to see me, on days like today it’s safest for everybody to stay indoors. Pet visits are a great option for days like this and before we know it will be back to walks as usual! 🌞💖

As we are due to have some very hot weather coming up over the next few days, particularly Tuesday. I will be taking precautions to ensure dogs stay happy and safe, which include walking the dogs as early as possible to avoid the midday sun, no long walks or pavements, driving straight to a shaded spot for a play in the water, AC on the drive there and back, and dropped home before it gets boiling hot. If anyone would prefer their dog not to go out then please let me know so I can plan accordingly. 🙂☀️
