Border Collies aren’t just beautiful dogs—they’re brilliant, focused, energetic, and always ready for a challenge! 🐾🧠

Known as one of the smartest dog breeds in the world, Border Collies can learn new commands incredibly quickly and often seem to understand what their humans want before a word is even spoken. Their strong herding instinct, intense “eye,” and natural ability to focus made them exceptional working dogs, especially around sheep and livestock.

But their intelligence also means they need more than a simple walk around the block. Border Collies thrive when they have daily exercise, training, puzzle games, agility activities, or a job that keeps both their body and mind busy. Without enough stimulation, they can become bored very quickly.

They are also deeply loyal and form powerful bonds with their families. A happy Border Collie is one that feels included, challenged, loved, and useful. Whether they’re herding, running, learning tricks, competing in dog sports, or simply staying close to their favorite person, they give everything they do their full attention and heart. ❤️

We are in another spell of hot weather ☀️

🐾 Avoid the hottest parts of the day for walks.
🐾 Miss a walk altogether if it is too hot.
🐾 Never leave a dog in a car, even in the shade, even with the window open.
🐾 Avoid travelling with your pet where possible, and if you are, regular stops for air and water, and air con are a must.
🐾 If the ground is too hot for your hand, it is too hot for their paws.

‼️ Please remember it is not always a parked car posing a danger to your pet; travelling on a hot day, being confined to a caravan, or even a walk on a hot day can have very serious consequences. Heatstroke is real and can kill ‼️
