Important Update

My lorry is now up for sale — I’ve had a lot of interest already, so fingers crossed it finds the right home soon. A few have said the price is too low, but the price is what it is.

Box price £19,500

As of November, I’ll no longer be offering transport services.

A massive thank you to everyone who has supported the company over the years. Unfortunately, with the rock-bottom rates some are offering, it’s just not sustainable for me to keep running — I’m not willing to run my lorry into the ground for less than it’s worth.

Thanks again to everyone who’s been part of the journey. Onwards and upwards.

That’s a wrap for the week! It’s been a busy one 🐴

Herridge to Hungerford to drop a lovely chap into his retirement field 💚 Then a quick dash over to Widmoor to collect a showjumper heading out to Spain 🇪🇸 — dropped him safely in Frome and that’s us done for the week!

Now time to switch roles — I’m taking one of my own foals out on Sunday for his first ever show 🥰 Excited (and slightly nervous!) for that one!

Good Morning Everyone 🌞

Just a little reminder for anyone requesting quotes – please make sure you provide the postcodes.
I can’t give an accurate quote if I only have “Devon – Essex” for example. Even the first part of each postcode is enough for me to work out an estimated price.

And one more important note:

ETA = Estimated Time of Arrival ⏰
This means an estimate, not an exact guaranteed time. As a transport company, our day can be affected by:
• Loading times at previous jobs
• Traffic on the roads
• Fuel stops (coffee & loo breaks included ☕🚻)
• Horse breaks
• Plus, we travel at 60mph, not 70mph for safety

So if your ETA changes from 1:30 to 2:00/2:30, please understand this is normal and unavoidable. We’ll always do our best to keep you updated along the way! 🚛🐴

Strong winds and heavy rain are forecast across the UK over the next few days. Road conditions could be dangerous. Here are top tips to keep you and your horse safe:

🐴 Top Tips for Travelling Horses in Stormy Weather
💚Ask if the journey is essential - horses travel best in calm conditions. Postpone if you can.
💚 Check your lorry or trailer thoroughly - ramps, windows, tie rings, flooring & tyres.
💚 Make the horse’s travel space secure - use quick-release ties.
💚 Rugs & boots — avoid heavy rugs that can slip; use lightweight travel rugs and protect legs with boots/bandages. You know how your horse travels best!
💚 Drive with horses in mind - take corners slowly, brake gently, and give extra stopping distance in wet/windy conditions.
💚 Avoid flooded or debris-covered roads - lorries and trailers can get stuck or unbalanced quickly.
💚 Pack an emergency horse kit - spare headcollar, lead rope, first-aid kit, water, and extra haynet.
💚 Keep someone updated on your route - and stop safely if conditions worsen.
