We met Koda recently for a bit of training 🐾

Koda didn't have the easiest starts to life but has really landed in his feet with his owners, who have already put loads of work in.
Koda is a clever boy who’s already picked up some great skills, so we focused on tweaking a few cues to make things clearer and easier for him. Especially around dogs and strangers - particularly men. Koda hasn't had many opportunities before his current home to experience the world, so understandably, he's a little unsure, which can lead to frustration.

We introduced some gentle desensitisation work to help him feel more at ease around everyday sounds and situations.

Keep up the great work team Koda🩵

A few weeks ago we met Suki and Kali.

Suki has started to become a little less tolerant as she has gotten older and her owner wanted some tips on taking both dogs out whilst managing Sukis reactions.

Both dogs did amazing in the session. And their owner has lots to work on! Great job girls 🐾🩵

We met these beauties last month for some puppy training!

Daisy is the youngest member of the family, and her owners wanted some tips on some puppy training for her.

Coco, who is slightly older her owners wanted some help with her jumping up and getting a bit excited when out on lead.

Both owners did an amazing job, and I'm looking forward to catching up with them this weekend 🐾☀️

With today’s temperature around 26°C, it’s important to remember that while it might feel pleasant to us, it can be quite uncomfortable—and even risky—for our dogs.

At this temperature, our dogs may struggle with the heat, especially if they’re older, overweight, or flat-faced breeds like pugs or bulldogs.

Keep those pooches safe ☀️

We met Rolo a fair few weeks ago. Appolgies, my posts have been lacking 🙈

Rolo came to us as his owners had noticed an increase in his barking both at home and when out and about.

Rolo isn't a massive fan of other people and dogs. He has his circle, and that works for him. However, Rolo, being the cleaver cookie he is, has figured out if he barks they move or walk away.

It can be hard for smaller dogs to communicate with us. So we went over patching that line of communication back up to encourage Rolo to ask his owners what to do when he starts to feel uncomfortable rather than taking matters into his own hands!

Both Rolo and his owners did great in the session. Keep up the good work!🐾🩵

A few weeks ago, we caught up with the lovely Milo who attended puppy classes a few years back.

Milo had a fair few things happen recently, which had increased his reactions to dogs and people. We went out for a walk and got to work in the root of his behaviour. Milo has figured out that if he barks at another dog or person, they go away. Well, done him. We made a few tweeks to give him a bit more guidance and encouraged him to ask his owners what to do when he sees a dog or person rather than to take matters into his own hands.

Milo owners did a great job in the session observing his body language, this will help them when Milo is feeling uncomfortable and to notice those signs before he becomes too overwhelmed.

Practice makes perfect, and there's lots of reps to get in, but they are committed to training, which is great to see!

Well done, team Milo! 🐾

What better way to start the week off than with some lovely words from a client we saw at the weekend. Both dog and owner smashed it. And with their session plan, will continue to do so at home. Not forgetting a big thanks from our senior trainee Chelsey and her dog Captain from Helping Hounds Dog Training 🐾

"Hollie (and Chelsea) were both amazing with our Staffy and myself. They gave me the confidence to follow my instincts and the tools to try new training techniques. Our dog Harper can be anxious around other dogs and so now we have a clear idea of how to help her. They were both so knowledgable and kind. Really admired how they were able to use their own dogs with Harper to help with our training. Brilliant service and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to anyone. Thanks to you both!"

A few weeks ago we met Stanley. 🩵

Stanley is a very cleaver boy and was using this to his advantage and displaying a few problematic behaviours at home and out on walks.

We got to work on some training which of course Stanley picked up straight away. Stanley and his family have been practicing at home and we are thrilled to hear that they have already had amazing progress.

Great job Team Stanley 👏 🐾
