Important update from SALU Sphynx Cattery 🐾‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️

From now on, all kittens sold as pet-only will leave our home already neutered/spayed.

This decision has been made to protect our carefully raised bloodlines, prevent irresponsible breeding, and ensure our kittens go to genuine loving family homes.

Breeding rights are not included in the pet price, but may be discussed separately for selected kittens with approved responsible breeding homes only.

Our priority will always be the health, welfare and future happiness of every kitten we raise. 🥰💕

🐾 SALU SPHYNX CATTERY – Things I Always Recommend for New Kitten Owners 🐾

Over the years I have learned many little things that can help keep our beloved cats healthy and safe. 🥰
These are some of the products and safety tips that I personally use and recommend. Of course, every cat is different, so always consult your own veterinarian when needed. ❤️

🩺 Disposable Puppy Pads for Vet Visits
One of the most important things I recommend is taking a disposable puppy pad with you whenever you visit the vet.
I never place my cats directly onto examination tables. We do not know which patient was there before, and although veterinary clinics clean and disinfect their surfaces, accidents can happen anywhere.
Some parasites and infections can be picked up from contaminated environments. A curious kitten may later lick its paws and accidentally ingest harmful organisms.
After the appointment, simply dispose of the pad in the clinic's bin. It is a simple and inexpensive way to add an extra layer of protection. 😊

🐾 Feliway Diffuser
Moving to a new home, travelling, meeting new pets, neutering, spaying, or even veterinary visits can be stressful.
Feliway can help some cats feel calmer and more secure during these changes. I often recommend it when kittens first move to their new homes. ❤️

👂 Otodine Ear Cleaner
Sphynx cats often need regular ear care.
I personally use Otodine and have found it very useful for routine ear cleaning and maintenance.

❤️ Taurine Supplement
Taurine is an essential nutrient for cats.
Occasionally I add a taurine supplement to dry food as part of my cats' overall nutritional support.

🦷 Dental Care Gel
Dental care is often overlooked.
The gel shown in the photo is marketed with a dog on the packaging, but the manufacturer has confirmed that it is also safe for cats.
Good dental hygiene can help reduce plaque build-up and keep mouths healthier for longer. 😊

💩 Pro-Kolin Paste
A product I always like to keep available.
Moving home, stress, dietary changes, vaccinations, travelling, or simply excitement can sometimes cause softer stools.
Before reaching for medication, I often recommend speaking with your vet and considering supportive products such as Pro-Kolin.
It is suitable for kittens and can help support normal digestive function.

🌿 FortiFlora
FortiFlora is another product that can be useful as a probiotic supplement.
Many cats enjoy the taste, and it can be a helpful addition during times of stress or digestive upset.

🧬 Protexin Synbiotic
A stronger probiotic option that I also keep available.
Let's be honest... cats sometimes "help themselves" to food they were never supposed to eat! 😂
When that happens, digestive support can be very useful.

⚡ Nutri-Plus Gel
One of my personal favourites. 🥰
Nutri-Plus Gel provides additional energy and nutrients, and most cats absolutely love licking it from the tube.

🐛 Deworming
Please use professional veterinary deworming products.
I strongly recommend obtaining deworming treatments through your veterinary practice rather than purchasing unknown products from general shops or online sources.
Your kitten's health is worth it. ❤️

⚠️ Safety Warning About Collars⛔️‼️‼️‼️‼️⛔️

Please be very careful when choosing collars.
The collars shown in the photo with standard buckle fasteners can become dangerous if a cat becomes caught on furniture, climbing equipment, fences, or other household objects.
A frightened cat may panic and struggle, which can lead to serious injury or even strangulation.
If you choose to use a collar, I strongly recommend a proper breakaway safety collar that releases when pressure is applied.
Your cat's safety should always come first. ❤️

⚠️ Small Objects Can Be Dangerous
Sphynx cats are extremely curious and love exploring everything around them. 🥰
Please keep the following items safely out of reach:
🔸 Hair ties
🔸 Rubber bands
🔸 Sewing needles
🔸 Pins
🔸 Buttons
🔸 Thread and string
🔸 Small toys with detachable parts
Many cats find these objects fascinating, but unfortunately they can easily be swallowed.
Foreign body surgery is something no owner ever wants to experience, and prevention is always better than treatment.

🐾 Outdoor Cats
If your cat spends time outdoors, I recommend gently cleaning their paws after they return home.
We never know what animals have passed through our gardens during the night. Foxes, squirrels, wildlife, or even neighbouring cats may leave behind dirt, parasites, or bacteria.
A quick paw clean can help reduce unnecessary risks.
💕 These are simply my personal recommendations based on my own experience with Sphynx cats.
Every owner develops their own routine, and every cat is unique, but hopefully some of these tips may help keep your furry family members happy, healthy, and safe.
What products do you always keep at home for your cats? 😊🐾❤️

Information from internet 😔
Hello cat lovers,
❗I want to share the incident and warn others, because such accidents can happen to anyone❗ In the morning I woke up from the distraction of noises in the cat litter box, in the dark I didn't understand what was happening, but when I turned on the light I saw our cat helplessly bobbing in the air.. The toy on the rubber in the litter box, or rather the rubber itself was stuck between his molars. I grabbed the stray cat and tried to free it, but to no avail. Only when I reached for the scissors and cut the toy did I manage to get the rubber out. I can't tell you how scared I am, it's scary to even think what would have happened if there was no one at home. Therefore, I advise everyone to remove such toys, I would never have thought in my life what a danger it is, especially when we have had that coffin for probably more than 5 years. Keep your pets safe!❤️

*****HAIR TIE WARNING*****❗️❗️❗️❗️

We all know cats love hair ties and it's adorable to watch them play with them but here is your warning to stop!
If your cat eats a hair tie take them to the vet immediately, some hair ties will pass within 12 to 24 hours, some with unfortunately become stuck and be unable to pass through the gut. If the hair tie snaps, effectively becoming a string of elastic, it can cause even more serious complications. This is because it can cheese-wire through the wall of the gut if it gets stuck. If it gets stuck in your cat’s guts, they will often need urgent surgery to remove it before too much damage is caused.
Sometimes you may not see or notice your cat eat a hair tie The first sign you might notice is vomiting. The vomiting might be caused by the hair tie being lodged somewhere in the gut, causing a blockage, or it might be due to irritation that the hair tie has caused along the way. Another sign would be constipation or straining to p**p if the hair tie is stuck lower down in the guts, in the colon, or re**um. You may also notice diarrhea caused by irritation of the guts, but this would often occur after the hair tie has passed through.
Worse sometimes the hairties just get stuck in the stomach over time and if your cat finds more they can build. Below is a picture of hair ties ALL TAKEN FROM ONE CAT!

In the end PLEASE do not allow your cat to play with hair ties, do not encourage this behavior 🙏
