We still get asked why are our meals “complimentary” and not “complete”.

So hopefully this clears things up!

We believe ONE tub is really hard to be called complete. That means, that one tub has everything your dog needs to offer a complete meal for its life span.

Well, hang on, what about variety? What about the whole feeding experience? What about different textures and compositions.

So we call our meals complimentary because we believe in balancing over time.

Ideally, five proteins a month, one being fish. Additions? Sure! Our veg blend offers a fantastic mix of herbs, fruit and veg. But you can always add your own at home (just make sure it’s blitzed or steamed before you serve for the veg).

So when you offer our 80:10:10 recipes, with supplements of your choice (if you wish), and a mix of fruit and veg, THEN you’re offering a complete and balanced diet…. But over time 😘

At 14 years old, Bella (aka Betsy’s mamma) is still enjoying her raw food.

Her first few years of life she was on a popular kibble brand; I was blind to feeding anything else… everyone just feeds kibble right?

It wasn’t until Betsy’s journey started (the dog, not the brand 🤣) that I opened up to the idea of raw, tried it, and never looked back.

I fully believe this old girls health has been because I’ve looked after her tummy and her diet. She eats a variety of proteins, she enjoys fruit and veg, the occasional egg. She still plays, she still trots about like a happy little soul, and vet bills? Non existent.

So if you want to encourage a long, happy, healthy life for your four legged babba. Start with diet… Do your research…. Weigh up the pros and cons…. And take the plunge!

Feeding dogs lamb tripe is beneficial because it's a complete protein, rich in essential amino acids, vitamins, and minerals.

Lamb tripe is a bit stinky, but it’s an important protein to feed and best of all you can feed as often as you like 🥰

We have a few recipes with Lamb Tripe integrated, but we also have Just Lamb Tripe available on its own.

Here’s why we won’t be partaking in Black Friday this year (or any year!)

Our prices, relevant to our product, are very respectful. You see what you get with Betsy’s and we pride ourselves on being transparent, honest, and providing a quality product for you.

Our margins are tight, we swallow a fair few costs (either courier costs, increasing meat prices and more) and we just don’t have the capacity right now to offer some super duper over the top discounts.

But what we can say is. When we are in a position to offer a sale or a discount, we will. And we want to say thank you sooo much to those of you that support us, stick with us, and love our product just because 🥰

But despite these increases, we’re ensuring we’re still offering you the same product.

No cheap fillers. No recipe downgrades.

Well, actually, you’re not.

What you see is what you get with Betsy’s and that’s a brand that truly care about what they’re putting out there into the world.

Do we want to continue to the billions of piles of plastic that are just sat there? Absolutely not.

Our ethics and morals are strong. We are environmentally conscious, we’re driven, we want what’s best.

Our compostable packaging suits us and what our brand says. We appreciate it may be slightly more costly than plastic, but it’s just something we’d never swap to.

Our Story

We believe raw feeding is a healthy, naturally balanced and species specific diet, encouraging a healthier and happier lifestyle for your dog.

Our fresh, UK, human grade meat is processed in our DEFRA approved kitchen and we generally follow the 80:10:10 ratio. We use compostable tubs and packets, with eco-friendly delivery packaging, and tub sleeves that can be recycled.

Delivery is nationwide and next day on orders placed before midday. You can order as little as 6kg, or why not collect from Betsy’s HQ in Fengate, Peterborough.
