Welcome to merrylegs charitable trust, we are a animal charity based in Whittlesey near Peterborough. We have been rescuing and homing animals at our shelter for over 20 years soley funded by Oakdale Veterinary Centre in Stanground. Providing veterinary treatment, feed, water, shelter and love for all those animals that need it. Currently at the shelter we have
109 horses and ponies
29 Dogs
136 C

ats
9 rabbits
2 Guinea pigs
5 Pigs
7 terrapins
5 Cattle
6 Goats
1 African grey parrot
1 Amazon Blue
1 Goffins Cockatoo
Small aivary birds
5 Ferrets
Lots of chickens and ducks

All these animals have needed a home through no fault of their own. Some have veterinary costs which are too high for owners to pay so were going to be put to sleep, we have ponies that were destined for tiger food, and stray cats, to list a few. Merrylegs will not see a healthy animal put to sleep and will do our best to nurse back to health any animal we can. Please see the rest of out page for our recent rescue stories,

Merrylegs charitable trust will be running fund raising events starting in the summer 2014 to raise money to update our shelters these will include

Horse awareness events
Have a go shows
Own a pony days
Ladies coffee morning
To name a few

We'd also like to thank Arnold Laver Peterborough for donating materials and sourcing tradesmen to do much needed repairs!

Also met the most adorable little black pug in the oldie class obviously won it omg what an absolute treasure she was !little tongue out just like our Ruby ! Lovely lady with lovely reddish hair ? Just in case anybody knows her your little dog is amazing ! Il certainly never forget meeting her !❤️❤️

Lovely few hours today spent judging Turves dog show with Corrie ,loved it !!! Thankyou so much Lucille Hird for asking me !! Really good turnout met some amazing beautiful dogs and their owners ! The proceeds also donated to our charity I think around£85 !!! Also got to stand along side the amazing funny Matt Page so guaranteed laughs all round thanks for your help ! I think lol 👍👍and finally spent a bit of time with our awesome hardworking bonnie fundraisers !so more funny times there too!! ❤️❤️👍👍
