HEEL POSITION- I aimed to teach her to come into position from different angles. This was new for Nala, but with good emotions and motivation, we cracked that!

Irma Idea Paston look at your princes; she did a brilliant job!

Research, not rhetoric
This is from a 2001 peer-reviewed study published in Applied Animal Behavior Science that examined hunting dogs’ behavior toward sheep and the controlled use of electric collars as a deterrent.
Key point, the collars were only used when dogs were within 1–2 meters of sheep to prevent attacks. The timing was deliberate to avoid confusion or unnecessary distress.
The result?
Most dogs didn’t even need a shock, and NO LASTING SIDE EFFECTS WERE OBSERVED!
Before jumping ton the keyboard, read the actual science.
This study shows that, when used precisely and ethically, tools like electronic collars can save lives (both dog and sheep) and avoid harsher outcomes down the line.
Emotion has its place in training, but evidence should lead the conversation.

We are practicing obedience and playing with Shep. The biggest step is to start trusting your dog then you never trust him before.

Ferry meadows is a super place to do that.

Short moment from Ted's training session.

Ted is an anxious and insecure dog. He chose to lunge, bark and frighten others. He had the same reaction to cyclists, cars runners or just faster moving objects but this post about dogs.

In a video, where he looks is a dog. We were playing and doing some obedience. Nothing very difficult for him but this let the owner improve communication, focus/engagement in public. Also, we want to create happiness and joy around other dogs so PLAY is the best.

Then the dog is active, happy and enjoying the moment, the dog can't be sad and worried.

At this moment, a good feeling is the most important thing in Ted's training.

Puppy play session. This is a short moment with important messages on how to let a puppy win and make the game more interesting for a puppy. It can be any age dog. Here is the dog IMPORTANT - not you!

Shep- very inspiring story that gives hope to many dogs and owners.

I haven't got many videos and here is not really him. The situation was much worse. Shep suffered from aggression to everything that was moving around him. He has bitten to humans, dragged the owner to the other road side if saw the dog from any distance, nobody was able to come into the house, he always was separated from others, he escaped from the bungalow and was dangerous to everybody. I meant everybody - dogs, humans, scooters, joggers, runners, pushchairs and so on. Previous training didn't give much results.

Shep is sooooo lucky that the owner never gives up on him. She saved him so many times and has so much patience. Training took us 8 months. It was my biggest challenge to find a safe way to work with him and help them.

At the end of this video I filmed him in a public park. It was the first time in 6 years that Shep was walking in a public place with no muzzle and no issues. Now he can enjoy visitors and attention. Plays with other people and can just be a dog. We still have some jobs to do with him but not much left.

Socialization - super important and a misunderstood stage in any dog's life. I had a super cool puppy, very playful, active but spooked to noises.

On video you can see then she gets spooked from strange noise. If the owner stopped playing and cuddled her at that moment, the puppy would understand, getting scared is normal and this is what we are doing- I need to run and hide. This is how you are teaching a puppy to be anxious- problems in the future.

In that situation, you need to carry on what you are doing ( playing) and show the puppy- it is nothing to worry about and we carry on our things. Your dog/puppy is coping you always!!! If you stay calm, they stay calm, if you ignore sound, they ignore that too!

BE EXAMPLE TO YOUR DOG/ PUPPY.
