Hello everyone 🐾

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we will be closed this weekend: 27/28th June from 12pm Saturday and all day Sunday.

Vets Now Dundee will be available for any emergencies from 12pm Saturday until 8:30am Monday when we will open for business as usual.

We are really sorry if this causes any inconvenience.

This month is Veterinary Nurse Awareness Month, a chance to celebrate the incredible work veterinary nurses do every single day. 🐾💙

From monitoring anaesthetics and caring for hospital patients, to running clinics, supporting clients, and advocating for animal welfare, veterinary nurses are a vital part of every practice team.

Veterinary Nurse Awareness Month aims to raise awareness of the skills, knowledge, and dedication involved in the role, while recognising the compassion and care RVNs bring to both pets and their people every day. 🩺✨

Meet the team… Rona, student Veterinary Care Assistant (SVCA)

Rona joined Vets4Pets as a volunteer in October 2025, following her dream of changing careers into animal care and veterinary nursing. She has always been deeply committed to animal welfare and is passionate about making a difference in the lives of animals and their owners.

Since joining, Rona has learned a great deal and is excited to continue building her practical experience. In February 2026, she began her Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA) course, which is equipping her with the skills and knowledge to support the veterinary team across a wide range of areas, preparing her for a future role as a VCA or student veterinary nurse. She is truly grateful for the opportunity to complete her placement at Vets4Pets Perth and to learn from such a supportive and experienced team.

Outside of work, Rona enjoys spending time outdoors, being with her two daughters, and taking on DIY projects with her husband. At home, she shares her life with a beautiful Newfoundland dog, as well as rescued animals including former commercial hens and Oreo, a duck she rescued in 2022.

Meet the team… Lennox, Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN)

Lennox qualified from Edinburgh Napier University in 2021 with a degree in Veterinary Nursing. She enjoys surgery, anaesthesia, and nurse consultations. At home, Lennox has a small “zoo” consisting of a large, beautiful rescue dog, a handsome ginger cat, a snake, and a cheeky guinea pig.
Outside of work, Lennox enjoys spending time with friends and family. She is also currently learning Polish (“Cześć, jak się masz?”) and takes part in pole fitness, which she absolutely loves.

Lennox loves working at Vets4Pets as she feels as though she has known her colleagues all her life. She feels appreciated as a Registered Veterinary Nurse and knows how much the team genuinely cares for all their patients.

Meet the team… Samira,Qualified Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA)

Samira started working at Vets for Pets in 2018 as a Client Care Advisor. Samira had never worked in Veterinary setting before but she has always enjoyed working with people and loves animals,so working in a vets was ideal for her.

As a client care advisor, Samira often snuck through the back to get cuddles off the animals and because of this, she developed a keen interest in nursing. In 2023, she successfully completed her Veterinary Care Assistant course through the College of Animal Welfare and is now an integral part of the nursing team. Samira says that she loves her job and finds it very rewarding.

At home she has a beautiful greyhound and a gorgeous young daughter.

In her spare time Samira loves to go to the gym, take long walks with her dog, and spends quality time with her young family and friends.

Meet the team…Leia, Practice Manager here at Vets for Pets Perth.

Leia joined Vets for Pets in November 2017 as a Client Care Advisor and worked her way up to Practice Manager; which is a roll she is a natural at and has the upmost passion and dedication for.

Leia has a keen interest in all admin duties and especially loves completing insurance claims and when asked, she said she loves her job because no day is the same.

At home Leia is kept busy looking after three bouncy labradors, three cats and her two gorgeous young children. In her spare time she can often be found spending time with her busy family who all keep her on her toes.
