It’s been super cold the last few days and with the cold weather that snow is freezing !

Luckly our Shetlands are designed for the cold and windy weather, so they are happy and warm. On the other hand I need a sledge or skis to get up and down the field 😂🙈

Coco - our oldest Shetland has this game worked out . As the other three stand at one of the highest points of the field he’s down the bottom taking shelter with his own personal bundle of haylage . He’s to smart for this world ❤️🦄

This is a great session to introduce ponies to kids , build confidence , enjoy the outdoors and meet some new friends .

A mix of pony grooming , some pony handling and a bit of arts and crafts ❤️.

No stress , just a happy chilled space for both parents and kids to enjoy .

It’s a snowy day for our ponies ❄️🌨️.

This is such a great things to see , all the snow lying on their backs .
This tells us something very important ❓🙋‍♀️
That they are warm and cozy on the inside 🦄🥰.

Shetlands are cool they have very thick double coats . The undercoat is dense and traps air, creating warmth . While the outer layer is longer and coarser repelling rain / snow and protecting them from the wind, keeping the undercoat nice and dry 😱🤯.

If that snow was melting on their backs we would be worried that their heat is expelling from their bodies meaning they could get cold very quickly ❤️.

First of our pony club begins tomorrow 3:45-4:45 🎉🦄.

We have a few spaces remaining for this session the rest are full and on a waiting list 💕🥰.

These sessions are suitable for all ❤️.

Pony club is all about having fun , making friends , learning about ponies in a fun and engaging- no pressure way .

Certificate , badges and rosettes to be gained after each topic !.

Progress 😍😍.

Our lean to is under way . We just have sides to go on when it’s a little warmer .

This will give us space for non horsey activities out the cold and wind or out the sun in the summer 🦄🥰.

That was a cold job building that over the last two days 🥶🙈.

Today I took two of our Shetland out to a local show. Everyone deserves a little bit of excitement and to show off .

These two ponies smashed it ! ❤️🦄

Velvet won 6th place and also fluffiest ponies with the wonderful Delilah who attends our outdoor learning taking lead .

Fallyn got dropped two places missing out on the placing but she had the time of her life 🦄💕.

Super proud of them all and now they enjoy the rest of their holiday before we start on the 5th of January 😍

What a year we have had !!! And certainly a busy one .
The diary for 2026 is looking Busy , which is AMAZING ! .

I hope everyone has had a lovely Christmas 🎄💕and starting to regain a little bit of organisation back in their home . I know I can just about see the floor in the living room again 😂.
