Founded in 1960, ADIE Kennels and Cattery has many years of experience in the boarding kennels and cattery profession, and provides accommodation to clients throughout the UK. The establishment offers a tailored pet boarding service to the general public, which is designed to ensure that individual pets enjoy their own holiday at all times. The business also has fully qualified staff enabling clie
nts to go on holiday knowing their pets are being looked after properly. The business is able to offer individual boarding for both dogs and cats, including lead walking of dogs a minimum of twice daily. All individual diets are catered for. If your pet requires it, medicines can be administered. The kennels and cattery are set in a quiet rural location and are particularly suitable for nervous pets as there is minimum disturbance to the animals due to the location and size of the kennels and cattery. With a staff body of two full time staff members, ADIE Kennels and Cattery has a professional team, qualified in animal welfare NVQ level 3 with a wealth of experience, having worked in a large animal sanctuary for a number of years before moving into the private pet boarding business. ADIE Kennels and Cattery has a large customer base throughout Scotland, including clients as far away as Aberdeen, Struan and Dundee. The business is run by Maggie and Stuart McAdam who have worked within the Pets and Animals business for many years. Maggie and Stuart are more than able to take good care of your pets, Maggie having previously worked for Mid Antrim Animal Sanctuary and Stuart having worked for Edinburgh Zoo.

Good afternoon, everyone, we hope that you have all had a brilliant weekend. Due to popular demand, we have had to bring forward our open/closed dates to allow people to start planning for 2026! We will be open/closed on the following dates in 2025/2026.
Close 16:00hrs Friday 31st October 2025 – Open 10:00hrs Monday 16th March 2026.
Close 16:00hrs Saturday 13th June 2026 – Open 10:00hrs Tuesday 02nd July 2026.
Close 16:00hrs Saturday 31st October 2026 – Open March 2027 TBC.

This is Maggie, I have just kicked that lunatic off the computer!!! We close tomorrow 14th June 2025 at 16.00 hours and re-open Tuesday 1st July 2025 at 10.00 hours for most guests. I'm now away to thrash the crazy man! Have a great weekend everyone.

Hi Everyone.
Road works in our area between Tuesday 27th May – Tuesday 27th June 2025. There will be only one route open to ADIE Kennels & Cattery allowing drop off/collection of guests due to this issue. The signage is a bit confusing so just ignore the road closed signs and follow the directions indicated below.
THE ONLY ROUTE OPEN: Coming from Perth; Come along the old Crieff road, pass through the traffic lights at the Dobbie’s turn off - follow the road along approximately 1 mile passing Tower vets on the right hand side, 300m on at the cross roads turn right down the hill, follow this to Huntingtower Hotel main entrance (DO NOT go through the entrance) turn right onto the dirt track road and follow the road along for approx. 300m, look for the sign in the distance on our hedge, KENNELS then turn right we are at the end of the road.

Good morning to all our friends and customers. Well that's the holidays over for us! back to work tomorrow, ready for another busy season! Some dates for your diaries for 2025. We will be closed over the following periods.

Boarding your Dog: Your dog needs to be fully vaccinated before boarding including the Kennel Cough Vaccination given a minimum of 14 days before boarding. Our costs are £11.50 per day, inclusive of day of arrival/departure this also includes your dogs’ food as long as it is a brand we stock if not we would ask you to supply and charge £11.00 per day.
Boarding your Cat: Your wee cat needs to be fully vaccinated before boarding. Our costs are £9.00 per day inclusive of day of arrival/departure, this also includes your cat’s food as long as it is a brand we stock if not we would ask you to supply and charge £8.50 per day.
We are an extremely busy Kennels & Cattery and fill up with guests very quickly. We would advise you to contact us at your earliest convenience (Telephone 01738 583 263) to discuss your pets’ requirements for a holiday stay and check availability, at this time we can arrange a visit for you if you would like to ensure you are happy with our establishment and meet both Maggie and myself.
