Martin and Carr Veterinary Surgery

Martin and Carr Veterinary Surgery Martin and Carr Veterinary Surgery in Pershore provides expert care for cats, dogs, and rabbits.

Our services include vaccinations, consultations, microchipping, spaying, neutering, dental cleaning, and nail clipping. We are a family run practice, large enough to have a broad base of experience, small enough to care. We are a RCVS accredited tier two practice consisting of
seven veterinary surgeons helped by nurses and receptionists. We work from three centres, the main one being on the edge

of Pershore with our branches in Evesham and in Bredon. We have invested in superb diagnostic facilities including ultrasound, video endoscopy and digital x-rays, which allow fast and accurate diagnosis to be made. We are proud to be able to offer acupuncture from our Pershore and Bredon clinics. Most blood samples can be analysed to have results within the same day in our practice laboratory. We are also the first vets in the Vale to offer keyhole surgery, including key hole bitch spays which offer a faster recovery time compared to traditional methods. The data controller is Independant Vetcare ltd, The Chocolate Factory, Keynsham, Bristol, BS312AU (ICO reference number Z3212973). We have a data protection Officer who can be contacted at [email protected]

🐰💖 This beautiful bunny is Bubbles, who came in today for a dental check-up and teeth burring. Did you know a rabbit’s teeth grow continuously throughout their life? If they don’t wear down properly, sharp edges or overgrowth can cause mouth pain, drooling, and difficulty eating. Regular dental care keeps rabbits comfortable, healthy, and enjoying their favourite foods! 🌿🥕

Meet Gibson – The most handsome and mischievous boy! 🐾

Gibson originally came to us with some discomfort in his hind limbs and a limp. After taking X-rays, we referred him for a CT scan to get a clearer picture of his hips, as a possible hip replacement was on the cards.

But the CT revealed an unexpected surprise – 6 strange round shapes in his stomach… completely unrelated to his limp and with no signs of illness at all! 😲

Turns out, Gibson had cheekily helped himself to 6 golf balls as a snack! ⛳🐶 Thankfully, there was no obstruction, but he needed an exploratory laparotomy to remove them safely.

He came in today to have his stitches out and has now been officially signed off – 6 golf balls lighter and ready to move forward with his hip journey.

Gibson’s lovely mum and dad have even bought him a special muzzle that he now wears on walks — and although, as you can see from the photo, he still loves picking up golf balls, he can’t swallow them anymore!💙
