A quick note about this glorious weather we’re due to have next week-
All appointments booked in next week will stay as is for now, if the salon gets too hot I will of course rearrange as necessary🤍 I’ve blocked out the afternoons so all appointments are booked in the cooler hours of the day. Dogs always have access to fresh water in the salon and breaks as needed! If you would like to rearrange please let me know in advance where possible🐾
Tips for safety in this heat for your dogs!
• Always provide access to fresh, cool water 💧
• Walk dogs early morning or later in the evening to avoid peak heat ☀️
• Avoid hot pavements — if it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for paws 🐾
• Never leave a dog in a parked car, even for a few minutes 🚗
• Provide shaded areas when outside 🌳
• Watch for signs of heatstroke: excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, vomiting or collapse ⚠️
• Use cooling mats, damp towels or paddling pools to help keep dogs cool 🧊
• Flat-faced breeds, puppies, elderly and double-coated dogs can overheat faster 🐶
• Don’t overexercise in hot weather — rest breaks are important 💤
• Frozen treats can be a great way to help dogs cool down safely 🍉
