Sorry not posted much on this account for a while as has been keeping me very busy but this account is more appropriate to show this design I am working on. Its mark 2 version of one I made a few years back, this still needs sanding and putting together properly but what do you guys and girls think?

I have been very busy with my other business but I am still rearing and pinning moths in the background. Just need to find some time to frame these up.

This is what moths look like when they live out their lives to the full. Most of the pristine specimens you see framed have been euthanized to provide a perfect specimen. So when you see the world 'ethical' it normally means that the specimen was bred in captivity rather than taken from the wild. Don't get me wrong, they have a far higher survival rate bred in captivity as no predation or parasites in the larval stage and wild stocks are not impacted by hordes of collectors. Those that do breed must never release back into the wild if that species is not present in that environment or area or if the stock has come from a different area as this could have detrimental effects on other species or the natural flora. So if you are seeing the word 'ethical' being used just think which ethics you appreciate more.

This beautiful Robin Moth (Hyalophora cecropia) emerged today. Definitely my second favourite moth species.
