I didn’t know this was a thing! 🙄🤦‍♀️🤣🥳thank you British Dog Fields❤️

Now I’ve investigated I can see there’s been buzz to get votes in from parks and generate interest. I need to learn to social media and promote but I’m too busy in a world of the complete opposite! Running a park whilst working P/t in the Vet hospitals in a job I ❤️ with 5 dogs and 5 horses/ponies and ME and chronic pain. I avoid the internet as much as possible. I need to pace myself to run the park, one includes avoiding the internet👌 so this is a nice wee surprise considering I did zero please vote for me for something I never knew existed 😬🤣

What matters is what’s done day to day whilst living in fatigue and pain, that’s my winner winner, keeping the park going for the dogs to have an amazing time.

Remember too, where do you get two parks per booking, a choice of two individual unique parks to use and go between. It’s all for the dogs (and their humans☺️) pleasure over profits🤟❤️🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾

Thank you,

Padlock change for the Agility Park. It’s easiest in the gate top padlock hole as opposed to the bottom one. Remember to lock it when you leave you need the code the same as when you open it, then close the shackle and spin the dials to some random number.

When you book your confirmation email gives you the combination number. If the number changes and you’ve booked before I’ve changed it I will text or WhatsApp you with the updated code.

Thanks

Smart collar 0 Zara & Team Labradestroyers 1🙄😣😂😤

We’ve been spending quite a lot of time at my work with two of the team. So unfortunately along with my own ill health and the Scottish summer ☔️🌧️💧💧💧💧☔️☔️☔️☔️☔️☔️☔️☔️the grass has had a couple inches of growth. Please note I can’t cut the grass if it’s wet, it tends to still be wet even after one dry day. I broke the ride on mower last autumn attempting to keep the height to an inch or two as some folk found walking on 3-4 inches of grass difficult. The push mower is a bit better in the wet but f**k that’s not easy with ME. It’s been kept on top of but if you want golf course type grass you need to use a golf course instead.

So please be prepared for a length of around 3-4 inches in places atm. (There’s also longer grass for the dogs enjoyment) I can only cut either silly o’clock in the morning or after closing time at night and it’s not always possible after my own work etc

Can I also remind everyone about dogs digging😫😖😫 I’m going to have to buy in soil and turf as it’s pretty ridiculous the amount of digging. Please stop them if they start🙏🙏🙏

Lastly thanks to everyone who uses the parks that have so much fun. Nothing nicer to hear and get emails about how much enjoyment has been had. Makes the blood, sweat and tears worth it❤️👍🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾

Storm Floris

I closed the park yesterday as by mid day it was a little nuts and too unsafe to travel and be outside (says me who was still out checking and feeding the horses/ponies/cats🤣☺️)

Back to business as normal today, we only had one dog agility tunnel try to go for a wee vacation and it didn’t get far🤣😳🤣

Over the next few weeks we’ll be installing more solar lighting in park 2 (the park set up for the dark 🤟🐾👌) for the impending doom (winter 😱🤣) and hopefully other general maintenance health permitting.

I have also contacted Lochay homes, still waiting on a reply 2 months later…. They now should own the initial access track to the waste water facility (they bought the former Wellington school site for housing development 😣) and they and Scottish water are meant to maintain and repair the track and then things are shared by us and two other land owners. We solely paid for full repairs 4 years ago but expecting this time round it’s a shared responsibility (as it should be) and we can get things good and up to my standards before winter, better to keep on top of it imo. Fingers crossed. It’s difficult enough running the parks without having to sort this issue out on my own as usual 🙄🤦‍♀️

Finally, talking about dog insurance, if you don’t have it, get it! Team Labradestroyers have Ollie becoming a regular with the superb Ophthalmology Vets at my work and Zara with the fantastic Dick Vet General practice. She has several things going on😩 it’s not cheap to insure but what a peace of mind when you need to use it. Health issues are the only difficult thing of owning a dog/being owned by your dog😉 such an emotional rollercoaster. Hug your dog/s and have a great time with them at the parks❤️🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾

Happy August 🍁🍂

I was out again late cutting grass in the agility park last night (this time it was on a mower not pushing one😱🤣), unfortunately the dark beat me to raking it aside so there’s some cut grass on the ground.

Reminder to pick up poo, no dogs digging please, also reminder about no dogs chewing or destroying equipment and if you have things like tennis balls with you please take them home and don’t leave chewed up bits of ball lying all over my lovely parks 😩

Treat here like you’d treat your own property, keep it good for everyone’s enjoyment.

Remember each booking has access to BOTH PARKS, there should be no other dogs on site at the weekends (and the majority of all the time here)

Thank you and have a wonderful visit with your dog/s 🐾🐾🐾

Please if your dog starts digging can you be proactive and stop them. My lovely fields 😩 believe it or not I do really try to fix the damage but it happens a lot

Also please stop your dogs wrecking the equipment, this jump pole is one of many that are not even a year old and ruined. We’ve lost lots of professional jump stands to being chewed on😩and I know how much the dogs and owners love using them but they’re extortionate to replace. So please take care of what’s in the parks

The damages and financial losses of equipment I’ve had to remove is huge and good equipment isn’t cheap

Please keep an eye on your dogs in the parks, if Teqm Labradestroyers don’t do it no dog should be able too!
