Charlie the Westie was back in today and honestly she is just the happiest wee soul 💕🐶

It’s been about three weeks since I last saw her for her first bath with me and she came in full of energy, personality and kisses. She’s so friendly, loves a cuddle, and will happily give you her paw whether you’ve asked for it or not 😂 Such a wee character and an absolute cutie.

She had a beautiful pet trim today to keep her comfortable and tidy. She’s still young, so as her coat matures and grows out more we’ll be able to shape that lovely full, round Westie face. For now though, she looks completely adorable with her sweet puppy look ❤️✨

Such a gorgeous little girl and always welcome back anytime 🐾💗

Hugo the Havanese pup was in this morning for his groom and he’s really starting to grow into himself now 💚🐾

This was his third adult groom with me and you can genuinely see the progress each visit. He’s learning how the salon works, settling more quickly and letting me get on with things bit by bit. It’s so nice to watch that confidence build ✂️✨

Young dogs don’t just wake up knowing how to be groomed, it’s something we build together over time. Hugo is doing exactly that, and he’s getting better and calmer with every appointment 🛁💛

He finished up looking super smart and tidy, and I’m honestly chuffed with how he turned out today. Such a good boy and a pleasure to see improving each time 💚🐶

Levi the 9-month-old Lhasa Apso was in this afternoon and let’s just say… teenage phase has officially arrived 😅💙

He’s normally such a lovely little pup for me, and today he decided to test the waters a bit. At this age they’re full of confidence and curiosity, and sometimes that means seeing what they can get away with! We took things steady, kept it calm, and worked through it together. Grooming young dogs is all about consistency and patience, and this stage is completely normal.

Despite his little moments, he’s still the most affectionate wee soul who just wants cuddles and kisses every five seconds 🥰

We got there in the end and he finished up looking smart, tidy and fresh ✨

Lucy the puppy Lhasa Apso was back in and she is just the sweetest little soul 💕🐾
She’s been in a few times now and every visit she just grows in confidence and lets me get on with everything like a total pro ✂️✨

She genuinely enjoys her wee pamper days, standing beautifully for her groom and soaking up all the attention 🛁💗
There’s nothing better than working with a dog who trusts you and feels comfortable in the salon.

Her dad dropped her off and picked her up and was delighted with how she looked, and I later got the loveliest message from her mum saying how happy she was too 🥰💬
Hearing that Lucy’s groom brought a smile during a tough day meant more than she probably realises - moments like that are why I love what I do.

Such a beautiful little girl inside and out, and I already can’t wait to see her again 🐶💖

This afternoon I had my beautiful Lola back in, and honestly she is just one of those dogs that makes your job feel easy 💕🐾
At almost 12 years old it’s all about going at her pace, keeping things calm, gentle and reassuring, and she takes everything in her stride like the little pro she is ✨🤍

Lola follows me about quite happily while I get everything set up, and although she’s a wee bit unsure when she first goes on the table, she settles very quickly with cuddles, reassurance and a few comfort breaks 🛁🐶
Once she’s relaxed, it’s kisses, tail wags and plenty of love the rest of the way through 💖🐕

She finished up looking lovely, feeling soft and smelling amazing, and dad was delighted when picking her up which always makes me feel like I’ve done a good job. 🥰✨
If every dog behaved like Lola, my job would be a dream – such a sweet soul and an absolute pleasure to groom every single time 💗🐾

This afternoon it was finally Thor’s turn - my little baby boy, resident Cavachon and full-time drama king 💙 He came in after Minnie for his groom and, true to form, made sure everyone knew he had opinions about the whole process 😌🐾

A Thor groom is never rushed… and today was no exception. He likes things done his way, at his pace, with plenty of breaks for reassurance and cuddles. It might take longer, but that’s all part of working with the dog in front of you and keeping the experience as calm and positive as possible ✂️🫶

Despite the theatrics, he came out looking handsome as ever - and I’m always so proud of him. He keeps me on my toes, pushes my patience, and reminds me why gentle, one-to-one grooming really matters 💙✨

Minnie 💕🐾

Minnie the Shih Tzu was in today for her groom and came in full of energy, excited to say hello and get herself pampered. She’s almost 6 years old and, very importantly, the long-standing girlfriend of my own boy Thor - a relationship we absolutely respect in this salon 😂💖

She enjoyed a full tidy including ears, nails, paw pads and a sanitary tidy, followed by a fresh shave-down to keep her comfortable and easy to maintain. Some areas needed a closer trim, which is very common with fluffy coats, and she handled it all brilliantly. ✂️✨

Minnie left looking and smelling gorgeous, finished off with a wee bandana and plenty of confidence. Her mum was really happy with how she turned out and is planning to get her booked back in again soon, which is always lovely to hear. Can’t wait to see this wee beauty again (and keep her looking perfect for Thor). 🌸🐾

Callie was in this afternoon and her dads very bravely decided it was time to take a little length off today. We kept things super conservative by using the longest comb attachment I have, just to give her body a soft tidy while still keeping her natural look and fluff. 💕✂️

I also tidied up her legs and gave her a gentle all-over freshen so she still very much looks like Callie, just a bit neater and more comfortable. She honestly came out looking lovely and it suited her so well. 🐶✨

After her shampoo, Callie enjoyed a conditioning treatment as her coat was feeling a bit dry, which helped bring back softness and shine. She also had the usual essentials done including ears, nails, paw pads and a sanitary tidy. 🛁💖

As always, Callie was an absolute dream to groom – calm, happy and more than happy to let me get on with everything. She finished off with a spritz of perfume and bounced out the door absolutely delighted to see her dad. Such a wee joy from start to finish. 🌸🐾

Charlie the 8-month-old Westie was in today for her first bath and tidy with me, and she was such a confident little girl from the moment she arrived. She had no problem coming into the salon and even made friends with another dog before her bath, which is always a great sign at this age. 💕🐶

She enjoyed a lovely bath using whitening shampoo, followed by a gentle blow dry and all the tidy-up basics. Her ears were cleaned, nails clipped, paw pads and sanitary area tidied, along with a wee tidy around her eyes and feet to keep her looking fresh and comfortable. 🛁✨

Overall it was such a positive experience for both of us, and Charlie took everything in her stride like a pro. She’s confident, relaxed and very happy in the grooming environment, which tells me she’ll manage a full adult groom no problem at all when the time comes. 🌟🐾

Charlie finished her little spa day with some perfume and a bandana before heading off home with her mum, and I’m already looking forward to giving her a proper big-girl groom next time. 💖✂️

Frankie 🐾

Frankie was back in for his second bath today and he’s very much still finding his feet when it comes to professional grooming. He’s a confident, bouncy young 8 month old lad with lots of energy, and at this age everything still feels big, exciting and a bit overwhelming all at once. 💛🐶

Because Frankie is still learning what grooming is all about, today’s focus was on keeping things short, safe and as positive as possible for him. We worked through the basics with plenty of breaks, reassurance and calm handling, making sure he left feeling okay about the experience rather than pushed too far. 🛁✨

With young dogs like Frankie, progress isn’t always about the finished groom, it’s about building trust, confidence and understanding over time. Every visit helps him learn that the salon is a safe place, and that grooming is something we can work through together at his pace. 🐾💙

Frankie’s mum and I are working as a team to support him going forward, including getting him checked over by the vet and continuing with positive reinforcement between appointments. He’s a clever boy with lots of personality, and with patience, consistency and time, we’ll help set him up for success. 🌱🐕

Mac 🐾

After me being unwell last week, I finally managed to get little Mac the pensioner Westie in for his groom today. His sister was in a couple of weeks ago and with the delay, Mac had grown out quite a bit, so he was definitely ready for some TLC. 💛🐶

Mac always comes in for a comfort groom because of his age, so everything gets clipped right down to keep him clean, comfortable and easy to manage. I also tipped his ears for the first time, which was a bit of a milestone for me as he’s my first proper Westie with pricked ears, and I think it suits him brilliantly. Very handsome wee man if I do say so myself. ✂️✨

Mum picked him up along with his sister and even brought a wee pram for Mac to travel home in, which was honestly adorable. It keeps him out and about without tiring him out too much, and I just love how well cared for he is. 💕🐾

Always a pleasure working with both Mac and Mirren, and I’m looking forward to having the team back in again soon. 🐶💙

This afternoon I got to meet little Suzy for the first time, a 2-year-old miniature Dachshund and an absolute sweetheart from start to finish. She was calm, gentle and so easy to work with, a real joy to have in the salon. 🐾💕

Suzy came in for a professional bath and tidy. While her coat doesn’t need clipping, a salon bath makes a big difference. She was washed in a professional de-shedding shampoo to help loosen dead coat and support healthy skin, then dried with a high-velocity dryer to properly remove loose hair rather than just blowing it around. 🛁✨

She also had all the extras that are tricky to manage at home, including ears cleaned, nails clipped for the first time, and a nourishing balm applied to her nose and paw pads. A good brush-out, a little perfume and a bandana later, she was ready to strut her stuff. ✂️🌸

Suzy is well cared for at home and arrived smelling lovely already, but professional bathing keeps coats in better condition long-term and helps make things like nail care stress-free when done regularly. Her grandparents were delighted with her and she headed home feeling very proud of herself. 💕🐶
