Oxford Cat Clinic Marston

Oxford Cat Clinic Marston The Oxford Cat Clinic is a unique cat-only veterinary practice located in West Oxford. We are dedicated to gentle, compassionate care for our feline patients.

It is the only UK feline-specific veterinary centre to offer both a first opinion and a referral service. We have built a team of dedicated feline veterinary surgeons and nurses who work together to provide the highest quality surgical and medical care for cats. The Oxford Cat Clinic was established in 2006 by Caroline Blundell, and Martha Cannon, two veterinary surgeons with a passion for cats. T

heir aim is to allow cats and their owners to know that they are at the heart of their medical practice. Caroline and Martha have a life-long love of cats and have spent a number of years specialising in their treatment and care. Their professional relationship began when working together at the "feline centre" in the University of Bristol department of veterinary medicine. Both vets have extra qualifications in small animal medicine, and Martha is an accredited RCVS specialist in feline medicine. Both vets are regularly asked to write about or deliver talks on the subject of cats. In addition to the two Directors, The Oxford Cat Clinic has team of friendly and knowledgeable veterinary professionals who are on site to help answer owners' queries.

January is hyperthyroidism awareness month, a condition seen in 1 in 10 cats over the age of 9 years. We thought we would share a short video to help you recognise the symptoms of the condition. Remember, if you have any concerns about your cat’s health, please don’t hesitate to contact the clinic.

From their owner:
"Long shot and heartbreaking for all of us, but is there anyone living near Birmingham that is able to rehome our 3 Canadian cats as soon as possible? My daughter is now nearly 4 and her allergy to them has continued to get worse and worse since birth. We've exhausted all options/medications at this point and I have to choose her ability to breathe without tons of medication over the first (fur) babies I ever had. I am genuinely broken at the idea of having to give them up, I adopted them in 2015 right after losing my Dad and they brought so much love and healing into my life. I have had them ever since this devastating time and love them with my whole heart.

All are rescue cats from a shelter and have bonded in a beautiful way. The grey female tabby (Arta) is approx 9, the big all grey boy (Grayson) is approx 10 and the white cat (Louis) is approx 8. Their birthdays are all approximate at they were all found on the streets with little to no background info. All of them come from Ontario, 2 were adopted from Kingston and the other from Oshawa. I paid crazy amounts to fly all 3 over with me in 2016 when we made the permanent move. They are all vaccinated, fixed and microchipped with lovely, sweet personalities. They do have access to going outdoors at our house, so I feel they would prefer a home with outdoor access. They've never gone far or gone missing, they tend to just lay in yhe sun in the backyard.

They are all very healthy with no issues. The only issue we had was a freak accident with the white cat's tail and the electric recliner a year ago😭 This resulted in a verrrry expensive partial tail amputation. He still had 2/3 of his tail and is absolutely fine. None of the cats are on medication or have had medical issues.

They have lived happily with babies to toddler age, but have always been so friendly with every age they've met. We lived with my Mom temporarily for a few weeks before moving to England where they lived with 3 massive Mastiffs. They were shy at first but quickly warmed up to the dogs and there were no problems.

I want them to go to the most loving home. I worry about bringing them to a shelter as they will definitely be split up and also I won't know where they end up. I would love them to go to a great home where I could keep in contact with that person over their years left on this earth and stay updated. Wouldn't be expecting monthly updates, but just bigger milestones and how they're doing as time goes on.

If you or a family member feel these beautiful babies would be a good fit for your family, please message Jennifer at the email below. I will give you absolutely everything I have for them: litter boxes, food bowls, food, toys, 3 large crates/carriers they fly over to England in, brushes, combs etc. I just want them to be loved and treated with all the kindness they deserve.
