Happy 100th Birthday to David Attenborough 🤍
Sir David has been such a huge part of my childhood, and now my children’s too. His voice is one of those voices that instantly feels comforting and familiar , like home, wonder and learning all wrapped into one.
I’ve grown up watching his programmes in complete amazement at the beauty of our world, the animals, the oceans and the tiny details of nature most of us would never otherwise see. Some moments have always been hard for me to watch because nature can feel so cruel at times, and I still struggle with the reality of the food chain and how nature works when animals are simply doing what they are meant to do to survive. But I think that’s also part of what Sir David has taught so many of us — the honesty and raw reality of the natural world, alongside its incredible beauty.
What an extraordinary man. He hasn’t just entertained generations, he’s educated the world, inspired kindness towards animals and the planet, and made so many people care deeply about nature and conservation.
A true national treasure and simply one of the greatest storytellers of all time.
Happy 100th Birthday Sir David and thank you for being such a special part of so many of our lives 🤍
