Woodbine Farm in Lutton are looking to fill a weekend position working with our wide variety of unusual large animals.
Key responsibilities will include:
Tending livestock which will include feeding, mucking out and caring for the animals.
Moving of livestock around as and when needed.
Monitoring the general wellbeing of the animals and assisting with vaccinations and medications if required.
Preparing animals for transport when required.
Maintenance and the upkeep of the farm.
The ideal Farm Worker candidates would:
Have experience working as a farm worker and dealing with large livestock (preferred).
Willingness to learn about the range of animals we have.
Be able to work efficiently on own initiative.
Be highly motivated with a 'can do' attitude and a willingness and enthusiasm to take on new challenges.
Be flexible and adaptable and proactive.
Have a positive attitude towards work.
Own transport due to our location is required.
Initially the weekend role is approximately 4 hours each day (starting around 8:30am), however it might occasionally be longer depending on what needs to be done. The hours could possibly be extended if a suitable candidate wants longer hours.
The rate of pay is National Living Wage, for insurance purposes candidates need to be over 18.
