Wanted

Horse 15.3hh to 16.2hh for a family beginner rider.

Looking for something older that has seen the world and knows its job. A genuine confidence giver with a kind temperament.

Must be safe, sane and sensible. Good to hack alone and in company. Good in traffic and open spaces. Easy to handle and well mannered on the ground.

No sharpness, no quirks, no projects.

Basically need a rocking horse with a heartbeat.

Will be kept on full livery with daily professional care and excellent facilities. This horse will want for nothing.

6yo Black Mare | 16hh | Kjento x Bordeaux

Praline is a beautiful 6yo black mare standing just shy of 16hh, by Kjento out of a Bordeaux mare. I bought her as a foal during lockdown with the intention of producing her myself, but life has taken over and I feel the time is right for her to find her person.

She is an incredibly affectionate mare who would thrive as someone’s main focus. She loves attention and genuinely wants to work and please.

Praline is naturally very talented, with a powerful hind leg in the canter, a super trot and a correct, active walk. She has attended a handful of shows and a pole clinic (which quite frankly was a showjumping clinic) where she behaved impeccably and took everything in her stride. She loads and travels easily on both lorry and trailer.

She hacks alone and in company. She is braver in company simply due to being green out hacking, this is no fault of hers, more down to my lack of time and enthusiasm for hacking.

Although she is 6, she is best described as riding like a good 4-year-old due to limited mileage. She has started lateral work and is not far off a Novice test. She is a forward-thinking, hot little pocket rocket never naughty, but not one you need to kick along. She enjoys her work and has a naturally active engine.

At shows she has been very well behaved, though she can become a little tense when leaving the warm-up for the main arena. This is purely down to lack of experience and would improve quickly with regular outings. She is far more likely to get a bit hot and tense than ever rear or buck.

She would suit someone wanting to compete who has the time to produce her correctly and patiently, or equally someone looking for a talented horse to enjoy and love. Home is far more important than price. I just feel I am too tall for her and don’t do her justice

She is currently not in full work and is being sold as she is, reflecting this. I have plenty of honest, unedited videos showing her exactly as she is.

• Two small splints (no other issues)
• Would consider loan-to-buy for the right person
She is over weight and hairy but beautiful

Price reflects her situation and a quick, right home I am open to sensible conversations.

Sat 3rd of January. The arena will be set full of poles. Come and alone with a friend £15 per horse per hour.
Just say a time.

Or a lesson £35 per horse ( if you feel more confirmed with me there)
