Grovehill Animal Trust

Grovehill Animal Trust We are an animal shelter based near Omagh in County Tyrone. To date together we have saved over 10,000 unwanted, neglected and abandoned animals.

Grovehill Animal Trust formed a committee and became a registered charity in November 2011 to help homeless animals in Omagh and the surrounding areas. Grovehill Charity Shop, 1 Foundry Lane Omagh, was opened in March 2012 and has been a huge success thanks to the tireless work and dedication of the shop manager, volunteers and the generosity of the general public in donating items to sell. The sh

op has provided the shelter with a constant source of income essential to progress the work required. The trust has moved on in so many ways from its beginnings. In November 2013 we took the next step in our overall strategy by moving into our new site and submitting plans to build a bricks and mortar shelter that will one day be open to the public, ensuring we can grow and develop the trust for years to come. There have been many changes over the years at the shelter but our core values have never changed and the welfare of the animals remains at the heart of what we do every day.

🐾 VOLUNTEER WEEK: A message from our Chairperson, Janice 🐾

At the start of Volunteer Week, I want to recognise the integral role our incredible volunteers play here at Grovehill Animal Trust.

From our charity shop manager and her dedicated team of assistants, to those who drive the animal ambulance and care for the dogs and cats at the shelter; from our passionate fundraisers and dedicated dog walkers, to our hard-working committee members—each of you is vital.

As a direct result of your input, we are able to rescue and rehome many unwanted animals in the Omagh area.

I trust you all feel very proud to be part of the Grovehill Family. A sincere thank you to each and every one of you.

Together, we are giving homeless animals a future. ❤️

— Janice

Meet paws: This beautiful 1-year-old tabby girl is on the lookout for her ultimate happily ever after. With her gorgeous white socks, spectacular whiskers, and big, curious eyes, she is absolutely irresistible.

At just a year old, Paws has the perfect balance of youthful, playful energy and a sweet, affectionate nature. She loves to explore, check out what you’re doing, and curl up for some well-deserved chin scratches at the end of the day. If you could be her forever home please get in touch

Meet Frankie, our handsome 2-year-old Springer Spaniel who is currently looking for his forever home.

In true Springer fashion, Frankie is a high-energy lad with a real zest for life. If you have a ball and a whistle, you’ll have a best friend for life! 🐾
Frankie lives for his ball. He could play fetch all day long and is always ready for "just one more throw!"

If there’s a puddle, a stream, or a lake, Frankie is in it! He absolutely loves swimming and playing in the water. If you could give him a home please get in touch

💕 Double the Love: Meet Sisters Ruby & Roxy! 💕
We have a very special duo looking for a very special home. Meet Ruby and Roxy, a pair of inseparable 3-year-old Terrier sisters who are the definition of "better together!" 🐾🐾

These two girls are a strongly bonded pair, meaning they do everything as a team. Because their bond is so deep, they must be rehomed together—where one goes, the other follows!

They are both incredibly friendly and love their belly rubs. Ruby & Roxy love getting out and about for their walks. These girls prefer to be the center of your world. They aren't fans of sharing their space with other dogs or cats, so they need a pet-free home where they can be the stars of the show.

If you have room in your heart for two best friends, please get in touch

🌟 Meet Bruno: The Big-Hearted "Pup" Looking for Love! 🌟 He's a handsome 6-year-old Labrador cross who clearly missed the memo that he’s an adult! He still has all the playful energy and charm of a puppy, and he’s ready to bring that joy to a forever home. 🐾

He is incredibly friendly and has a heart of gold.
He enjoys the company of other dogs following a successful introduction. Bruno is house trained and absolutely loves his walks and is always ready for his next adventure.

If there’s a toy around, Bruno is a happy boy! He loves to play and keep himself entertained.

Bruno is the ultimate companion. He’s just waiting for that special someone to realise he’s the missing piece to their family! If this is you please get in touch
