This is asher 💙💙💙

Asher is a 2 year old German Shepherd. He was brought into us in very poor condition 😢

He was unable to walk properly on his back legs due to being locked up in a confined space for a long time which resulted in tendon issues.

Thankfully we were able to get him the help and support he needed through foster and excellent veterinary care.

We need someone who is experienced in the breed. He is a wonderful sweet dog and has really came out of himself and showing his lovely character around the sanctuary. Although his back legs will never be fully normal it doesn’t stop him he loves short walks and loves playing ball in the field.

Asher needs to be the only dog and can’t be rehomed with cats.

Told you we had something exciting coming!

We're busy bees here getting everything ready to open up a small animal clinic. I say we, but Ember and Pikachu have been zero help so far!
A clinic means we can do a lot more as we aren't constrained by whatever we can fit into the jeep, and we can see more small animals when we aren't travelling. That means more equipment, more options, and a dedicated space for a calm and relaxing visit.

Where: F94T922, about 10-15 minutes outside of Donegal Town.
When: From October 28th
Opening Hours: Tuesdays 8am - 8pm, Saturdays 9am to 5pm

Mobile appointments for large animals and smalls who cannot travel will still be available outside of these hours.

To celebrate, we're offering €10 off all clinic bookings made in October! That's €30 per appointment, regardless of when the appointment is booked for. What's more, any appointment already booked for the end of October can be moved to a clinic appointment to avail of the discount.

‼️ COURSE ANNOUNCEMENT ‼️

We are down to our very last few remaining places for our Level 3 Certificate in Canine Hydrotherapy for this June.

This course is the perfect introduction into the world of canine hydrotherapy. The course is open to all applicants and requires no previous training or studying.

By the end of this course, students will be qualified to treat both orthopaedic and neurological conditions with a good understanding of the theory of hydrotherapy application.

The course requires a 1 week practical week held at Aqua Dog Hydrotherapy where students will work alongside a team of physiotherapists and hydrotherapists in one of Ireland's busiest referral centres.

We offer several payment plan options to make course fees a lot more manageable.

Alternative routes are marked in green and blue - please allow a little extra time for your journey! Anyone coming from Omagh Town centre can still go up the Dublin Road as far as my turn-off 👍🏻

Best stay out of the waters anywhere in Lough Erne I would think!

❗Blue green algae advice

We have received confirmation of the presence of blue green algae in Lower Lough Erne in the vicinity of Castle Archdale.

❗In abundance it can produce toxins which pose a health risk to humans and animals, therefore, it is recommended that you avoid contact with the affected water and shoreline and ensure pets and animals are also kept away.

Vets in the Fermanagh area have had a number of dogs seriously ill after swimming in Lough Melvin over the past 48 hours.



The cause of this may be toxic blue green algae, combined with high body temperatures due to the weather, and then entering the water leading to shock.



Please do not bring your dogs swimming in stagnant lake waters! We will update you if we get any further information.
