Puppy spam 💙💙🐶🐾
Rufus a labradoodle 7 month old puppy had only visited the groomers once before,
once bathed & dried I could see he needed at least shape around his head & neck & a body tidy up, he managed the process very well thankfully but soon became tired after 1hr & 15 mins, we will be having him on short frequent visits to bond & now learn to stand on the table as he’s a little delayed on knowing this as yet 💙
Rigsby’s visited for his 2nd puppy session & this time was amazing, knew the bathing, drying & brushing process, wasn’t nervous for a full nail cut We then worked on using a comb to check all his coat condition & sharp scissors all around his head, totally relaxed, had his pads & hygiene cleared of hair & a run around the garden with a few treats, happy healthy & bonding really well, puppy sessions are key to relaxed dog grooming for life for them (photos are after bathing & drying) 💙🐶🐾

Being a dog groomer I have the privilege of getting to know so many wonderful dogs and I care for them all deeply. When we lose a dog at work, we share in the grief that owners feel as we say goodbye to a beautiful soul who we care for on so many levels.
Yesterday I was heartbroken to have to say goodbye to my own dog Coco who I have had for 13 years 💔
Rescued as a one year old pup she has been a companion to me and my family, always there with a waggy tail and a wet nose kiss. She has a been a nurse to my children, taught them unconditional love and been an unfaltering devoted best friend to me. She has left a hole in our hearts that we could never replace.
So hold your fur babies tight and enjoy those wet nose kisses, make those precious memories and just know that I’m so grateful to be in a position to share a special bond with your dogs and will continue to care for them and love them all like my own 🩵🩷🐶🐾

Mr Morris 💙(current guide dog) & Hetty ❤️ (retired guide dog) came for their free grooms, FREE because they have kept their pawrent safe in the job they do….however I am so upset to learn that a vets would charge £25 for a nail cut on a guide dog !
Both of them enjoyed having the salon to themselves with treats & having the toy box out 🐶🐾

So we had a lovely busy December getting all our dogs ready for a lovely Christmas with their families ( 372 paws & 93 wagging tails) & we also welcomed a little Christmas Elf named Remi 💙 (his sister is already on our books) & he came for a puppy intro to bond with his groomer Kaye & to start to learn the process of his grooming needs, he’s just simply adorable.
Both myself & Kaye received such lovely gifts from lots of our customers & we will thank you personally as we see you.
Also this year we also asked for a couple of pounds in our tip jars rather than enough alcohol to sink a ship & enough chocolate & sweets to start a corner shop …….we both received a great huge amount that will go to future training so a huge thank you from both of us, much appreciated to be supported to deliver high standard’s ❤️ we love your dogs & we love what we do 🙌
We reopen on Monday 5th January & hopefully all messages will be responded to in the first few days of being back with our dogs. ❤️🐶🐾

That’s it ! The Xmas hats are out, the Xmas tree is decorated & all bandanas are ready for every pup that visits us up to Xmas Eve (because no one wants a smelly ungroomed dog this Xmas)
Whilst we have appreciated your gifts over the years, this year we are asking for no alcohol, chocolates & gifts (we really do have good reason for this) but just a couple of pounds into our tip jar (on reception desk) will go along way towards future training that we are to start in January 2026
All our double dogs have now booked for the year so you are all invited to what’s app your dogs name, along with the days & times you prefer in the week & how many weeks schedule,
Can’t thank you all enough for supporting us whilst we care for your gorgeous pups 🎄🎅🏻❤️🐶🐾

Was lovely to receive a thank you card & a huge box of chocolate’s !! from the new vets in Olney, Steve & the Jarden team.
We have already heard lots of good things from our customers & certainly helping our local dogs ❤️🐶🐾

Big shout out to the Birthday girl Bonnie, 6 today & I had the pleasure of grooming her this morning, we have had a beautiful bond since being a pup, she’s absolutely beautiful & certainly a queen on my grooming table, lots of cuddles & fusses & she’s now got a lovely day with her mum 🎂 🐶❤️🐾

2026 Diary has landed 🙌
Double dogs we hope to have their dates this week & then all other single dogs are invited to WhatsApp their preferred days & times the following week for the year ahead, both myself & Kaye have got holidays planned & a family wedding next year so both have about 4 weeks off next year but will do our best to accommodate your dog, subject to change with life stuff on both sides & extra last minute holidays or illness (hopefully not too much of that) or family commitments of course (because family come 1st)
Looking forward to 2026 and looking after your dogs whilst a little bit more studying to be doing towards another qualification in the industry 🎉❤️🐶🐾

Please note that with Sonia and Kaye back at work and in full swing that we are completely fully booked in the lead up to Christmas!!! 🎄 🎅🏻

All appointments that are booked must be kept to and if a cancellation is necessary it needs to be done 48 hours prior or with as much notice as possible. If you need to rearrange an appointment you will be placed on a cancellation list but there will be no guarantee of a slot before Christmas.

As always, all our appointments are based on the time needed for your dog and we ask that you be flexible where possible so that on the day our time is used in the most productive way….. this may mean a phone call asking you to come slightly earlier or in some cases slightly later.

This is because we like to allow the dogs the comfort of space in the salon and as we do not use cages this means that we need collections and drop off to be on time.
