The human slaves have been out today (they weren’t allowed to take us which I think was bloody rude!) and the miserable human did a thing.

Whilst casually wandering around a car show, the miserable human spotted someone on the floor, looking a little grey around the gills. He went over to see if he could offer any assistance and it became quickly obvious that this gentleman had gone into cardiac arrest. The grumpy human is a Paramedic so has ninja like lifesaving skills.

Chest compressions were started, the event medical team arrived and very quickly the patient was receiving advanced life support from the team of 6 people who were fighting to save his life. Event organisers screened the area off to maintain the dignity of the patient (the number one human makes an amazing tarp holder as does one of our holiday home humans). One of the staff from the stand where we were calmly called 999 and relayed everything that happened to the ambulance service.

Thankfully, the treatment he received was successful and he was transferred to the nearest hospital by ambulance, conscious and breathing.

Please, please, please…. If you find yourself in this kind of situation, don’t be worried about helping. Having a go at CPR is something that can literally be the difference between life and death. If early CPR isn’t done, the chances of survival for that person diminish by the second. If early CPR isn’t done, then the advanced skills that paramedics and other medical professionals are able to perform become significantly less effective.

This post isn’t about appreciation for what the grumpy human did today, it is about raising awareness therefore the comments have been turned off.

Well that’s a wrap…. We have completed our final ranger duty of 2025 for The Dogs Paddocks. Had an absolute blast…. Didn’t get muddy enough though, so I put a suggestion in for a 24/7 sprinkler at the field.
