A little reminder, please 🐾

Could we please ask everyone using Helping Hands Dog Park to make sure the gate is properly closed and locked when you leave?

Please don’t leave the gate unlocked, as we want to make sure that only people who have booked and paid for a slot are able to use the park.

It only takes a few seconds to check that the gate is securely locked behind you, and we’d really appreciate everyone’s help in keeping the park fair and secure for those who have booked. ❤️

Thank you so much for your understanding and cooperation! 🐶🐾

A little message from me... 💚

I don't usually like having to post things like this, but it's something I need to mention.

Please, please, PLEASE make sure you close and lock the gate when you leave the field.

I've arrived at the park a few times recently to find the gate left wide open after someone's session.

Even if there is a booking after your session, the gate still needs to be secured. The next customer can unlock the gate when it's time for their booking. If the gate is left open, anyone can walk in, let their dog in, or use the field without permission. The whole reason so many people choose Helping Hands Dog Park is because it's a safe, secure space where their dogs can run freely without worry.

It only takes a few seconds to check the gate before you drive away, but those few seconds make a huge difference.

I'm really proud of what we've built here, and I just ask that everyone helps me look after it by making sure the gate is properly closed and locked every time you leave.

Thank you so much—I really do appreciate it. ❤️🐾

Can I ask everyone a little favour? 💚

I work really hard to keep Helping Hands Dog Park clean, safe and somewhere everyone enjoys bringing their dogs. Lately, though, I've found that some poo has been left behind after visits.

I know accidents happen and it's easy to miss one, especially if your dog disappears into the longer grass for a moment. If you can, just have a quick double-check before you leave. It really does make such a difference for the next person coming in.

We're all dog lovers, and I want the park to be somewhere we're all proud of. A couple of extra minutes before you head home helps keep it that way.

Thank you so much to everyone who already picks up after their dogs – I really do appreciate it. ❤️🐾

🐾 Enrichment isn't just about exercise!

A tired dog isn't always a fulfilled dog. While running around is great fun, giving your dog opportunities to think, sniff and solve problems can be just as rewarding.

Here are a few simple enrichment ideas to try during your visit to Helping Hands Dog Park:

🐶 Scatter a handful of treats in the grass and let your dog use their nose to find them.
🧸 Bring a favourite toy for a game of fetch or tug.
🦴 Hide treats around the field for a mini treasure hunt.
🎓 Practise a few basic commands or teach a new trick in a distraction-free environment.
🌿 Let them sniff! Exploring new scents is one of the best forms of mental stimulation.

Remember, just 10–15 minutes of sniffing and problem-solving can be as tiring as a much longer walk!

What's your dog's favourite way to have fun at the park? Let us know in the comments—we'd love to hear your ideas! 🐾💚

🐾 Practising Recall? Start Somewhere Safe. 💚

A reliable recall doesn't happen overnight—it takes time, patience and plenty of practice.

A secure field gives you the perfect place to build your dog's confidence without worrying about roads, distractions or unexpected encounters.

Here are a few tips to help:
🐶 Keep training sessions short and fun. 🦴 Reward your dog every time they come back to you.
🎉 Make returning to you the best part of the game.
🐕 Gradually increase the distance as they improve.
❤️ Always end on a positive note.

Every dog learns at their own pace, and with consistency, you'll build a stronger bond and a more reliable recall.

Have you been working on your dog's recall? We'd love to hear how you're getting on—or share your favourite training tip in the comments! 🐾
