🐾✨ NEW PUPS ALERT... and lots of them! ✨🐾

The last few weeks at Squish & Wiggles have been absolutely packed with adorable new faces! 🥹🫶🏼

We've welcomed so many new pups through the salon doors that there's no chance I can squeeze them all into one post! Between puppy cuddles, first grooms, zoomies, treats, and making new furry friends, it's been non-stop cuteness overload. 🐶💕

So here's just a small selection of some of the gorgeous newcomers who have visited recently... but don't worry, there are plenty more photos to come! 📸🐾

💜 A Little Life Update from Squish & Wiggles Dog Grooming 💜

If you've noticed I've been a little quieter on social media recently, it's not because I haven't wanted to post – life has just been wonderfully busy!

Between running the salon, being Mum to two amazing children, and trying to keep on top of everything else that comes with daily life, there really aren't enough hours in the day. Most days I'm doing something every waking hour, whether that's grooming your gorgeous dogs, attending appointments, school runs, helping with homework, or tackling the endless mountain of washing!

A few weeks ago, I had to bring my daughter Rae also known as wiggles into the salon with me for a few days. As many of you know, Squish & Wiggles is just me, and sometimes that means a little bit of juggling behind the scenes.

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all of the customers who were so understanding, patient, and supportive during that time. Your kindness means more than you know and is one of the reasons I love what I do.

While I've been quiet online, you've all been keeping me incredibly busy in the salon, and for that I'm so grateful. Thank you for continuing to trust me with your wonderful dogs and for supporting my little business.
Here's to more wagging tails, fluffy cuddles, and hopefully a few more social media posts from me! 🐾

🐾 Veterinary Nurse Awareness Month 🐾

Many of my lovely customers already know this, but before opening Squish & Wiggles Dog Grooming I spent over 14 years working in veterinary practice as a Registered Veterinary Nurse — something I am incredibly proud of and always will be. 💚

Being an RVN is so much more than cuddles and puppy kisses (although they definitely help 🐶).

Veterinary nurses are there through every stage of an animal’s journey — from caring for sick and injured pets, monitoring anaesthetics during surgery, supporting owners through difficult times, to making sure every patient feels safe, comfortable and loved.

It’s a career that requires dedication, compassion, resilience and an enormous amount of knowledge and skill. Veterinary nurses are often the quiet superheroes behind the scenes in practice, working tirelessly for the animals in their care. 🩺✨

Although my path has now led me into dog grooming, my nursing background remains a huge part of who I am and has shaped the way I care for every dog that walks through the doors at Squish & Wiggles Dog Grooming. Their health, comfort and wellbeing will always come first. 🐾

So this Veterinary Nurse Awareness Month, I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all the amazing veterinary nurses out there for everything you do every single day.

You are truly invaluable.

Billy the Lurcher came to visit Squish & Wiggles Dog Grooming on Tuesday for a bath, blow dry, and a full glow up 🛁✨

He was such a chilled boy from start to finish — in fact, he was so relaxed he decided he didn’t want to leave! While I was chatting with his lovely mum, Billy made himself right at home and set up camp in reception like he owned the place 😂🐾

It’s safe to say he thoroughly enjoyed his pamper session (and the attention that comes with it!).

From teeny tiny puppy visits to the handsome little gent he is today… I’m SO proud of this gorgeous boy Leo 🐾✨

Not only did he come in for his pamper yesterday and absolutely smash, but last week he achieved his Kennel Club Good Citizen Puppy Award 🎓🐶 — what a superstar!

Watching him grow in confidence, behaviour, and personality has been such a joy. Huge congratulations to his amazing family for all the love and hard work you’ve put in — it really shows

Meet Bizzle 🖤🩶🤍

Named after the one and only Lethal Bizzle 🎤 — Back in her heyday she was Lethal, catching squirrels and anything she can chase but today honestly, an absolute sweetie.

During her groom, I did notice a few things that could do with a check over by a vet. Nothing urgent, but definitely something to keep an eye on and get checked for peace of mind.

It’s a great reminder that regular grooming isn’t just about keeping your dog looking and smelling fresh — it’s also a really important way to monitor their health. Being hands-on means we can spot lumps, bumps, skin changes, or anything unusual that might otherwise go unnoticed.
Catching things early can make all the difference 🐶✨

Bizzle, you were an absolute star today — can’t wait to see you again!

Today’s lovely visitors at Squish and Wiggles HQ

First up was gorgeous Roxy the Staffordshire Bull Terrier 🐶💖

She came in for all the pampering today with a luxurious bath, blow dry, and de-shed treatment… and left looking fresh, shiny, and feeling fabulous! ✨🛁

Then we had sweet Rosie, our beautiful elderly lady 🐾💕

Rosie came in for a little freshen up today. As she has some health conditions and is an older girl, we gave her a shorter groom to help keep her comfortable and easier to manage at home. She looked absolutely lovely and seemed much happier afterwards 🥰

We love making sure every dog gets the care and groom that suits them best 💗🐶

🌴 Holiday Notice 🌴
Just a little message to let all my lovely customers know that I am away on holiday from tomorrow until Tuesday ✈️☀️

I will still endeavour to answer all calls and messages when I can, but please bear with me as responses may be a little slower than usual 💕

✨ Yesterday was such a lovely day at the salon! ✨

I had the pleasure of spending the day with beautiful Ruby, sweet Honey, new recruit Leila, and crazy boy Cruz 🐶💕

It was a busy one, but such a worthwhile day. I absolutely adore looking after your fluffy pups and feel so incredibly privileged to do a job I truly love every single day ✂️🛁🐾

Over the last month, I’ve welcomed so many lovely new customers and their gorgeous pups—and it’s all thanks to your amazing word of mouth, recommendations, and tags on social media 💖
I’m beyond grateful for every like, share, comment, and recommendation. Without your support, my little business wouldn’t be what it is today.
