I have to detach my emotions somewhat as being a cat lover I fall in love with every cat I meet, but I cannot let myself do that with the kittens as I cannot bear to be heartbroken when it’s time for them to leave for their forever homes. I tell myself over and over that they aren’t my kittens I just look after them till they are old enough to leave. Winnie is staying with us so I’ve allowed myself to feel my emotions with her and oh my gosh I’m so madly deeply in love with this little girl ❤️😭😍🥰 The way she looks at me, I can tell the different sound of her footsteps coming from behind me out of all the others, I know her meow, her smell. My Winnie woo woo 🖤

This 👇 The amount of messages I’ve received and their first question is ‘how heavy is mum and dad’ that doesn’t matter and I know from that point they won’t be having one of my babies 🙅🏼‍♀️

🐾 Let’s talk about size & weight - because I get asked this all the time (and it's one of my pet peeves) 🫣

❌ No breeder can guarantee how big a cat will be
❌ No breeder can forsee the weight in the future

👉 Maine C***s are a slow-growing breed - they don’t stop growing at 12–18 months like most cats. They keep growing for up to 4 - 5 years, each at their own pace. ⏳🐱

Even in the same litter, one kitten may grow faster while another catches up later.

✨ Growth is influenced by numerous factors:
💚 Genetics
💚 Nutrition
💚 Environment & stress
💚 Health

⚠️ And here’s the truth: bigger isn’t always better.
A big cat may look impressive, but too much weight puts strain on the joints, spine and can lead to various health issues. 🚫🐾

What really matters? 💕
A steady,, healthy growth and a happy, well-cared-for kitty - no matter the number on the scale! And let's not forget, the "size" doesn't necessarily equal the sheer body mass 🐱💫

LUCKY penny pink has found her forever home and is now reserved. Everything happens for a reason and I now know that she was the last to be reserved as she was waiting for her perfect match, and boy has she found it. She’s going to be the most spoilt pretty pink princess and I love that for her 😍💖🥰
