Did you know that curly-coated dogs shed – just differently?
👉 Their hair doesn’t fall out on its own like other dogs.
👉 It stays in the coat and needs to be brushed out regularly.
When the coat isn’t properly maintained:
✔ hair tangles
✔ mats form
✔ the coat starts pulling on the skin
👉 This makes the skin more sensitive.
❗ That’s why when a matted coat is brushed or groomed,
even when done carefully, redness or minor surface skin irritation can occur.
👉 It’s not always caused by “brushing too hard.”
👉 Most often, it’s the result of matting and sensitive skin.
💡 It’s very important to understand:
✔ brushing must be done from the skin outward
✔ through the full length of the coat, not just the surface
👉 Surface brushing only creates a “nice top layer,”
while underneath the coat continues to mat.
🐾 Proper care helps prevent matting, protects the skin,
and ensures easier, safer grooming.

⚠️ READ UNTIL THE END IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR PET’S HEALTH
Today I attended a seminar about double-coated dogs,
mainly focused on Pomeranians.
But what I learned applies to more than just them.
👉 It doesn’t matter whether you have a Pomeranian or any other breed.
👉 It doesn’t matter if the coat is double or not.
👉 Alopecia is not something that just “happens”.
👉 And today it’s becoming clear – in most cases, it is NOT genetic.
Genetic cases make up only a very small percentage
(around 1%).
👉 The majority of cases start with one thing – FOOD.
🐶 We often say: “It’s genetics”
“It’s just the breed”
“There’s nothing you can do”
❗ But the reality is often very different.
🥣 A truth many people don’t want to hear:
Your dog is the result of
what you feed them.
Not the breeder.
Not the groomer.
Not the vet.
👉 YOU.
💥 Cheap food = expensive consequences
You buy cheaper because “they’ll eat it anyway”
Because “everyone buys it”
Because “it all looks the same”
And then:
the coat loses its shine
shedding increases
bald spots appear
skin problems begin
👉 And then we start looking for “miracle solutions”.
💸 And it begins: vitamins
supplements
oils
treatments
appointments
👉 And you end up spending MORE than you would on proper food.
⚠️ A very simple question:
Why do you choose quality food for yourself,
but “whatever” for your dog?
🧠 Fact:
If the food is truly high-quality and well-balanced –
👉 it already contains everything your dog needs.
Omega-3, Omega-6 and other essential nutrients
should be in the food itself, not on a supplement shelf.
✔️ Supplements can be used occasionally for support
(e.g. salmon oil in spring and autumn)
❗ But they should not be a daily routine to compensate for poor nutrition.
✨ Health doesn’t start with shampoo.
Not with grooming.
Not with supplements.
👉 It starts with the bowl.
⏳ And only when problems appear,
people begin to think:
“Maybe I did something wrong?..”
🐾 So here’s something to think about:
👉 Are you really feeding your dog
the way they deserve?
Because your dog doesn’t get to choose.
They trust you. 🐾
