REFLECTION AREAS

A pet cremation can be an extremely difficult time and sometime you simply need a minute of quiet reflection. We now have three areas set aside at Nottingham Pet Crematorium to allow pet lovers time to relax with their thoughts and memories.

We have our courtyard patio area, our white room and a new private room just off our main chapel. You are welcome to use these rooms to reflect and remember the happy times you spent with your beloved pet.

These areas are also available for anyone who has travelled a long distance and would like to wait to collect the ashes of their beloved pet. Take your time, reflect and relax.

The rooms can be areas of peace and quiet but you can choose to watch TV or listen to music of your choice. A selection of drinks are also available.

We would like to make your visit to Nottingham Pet Crematorium as stress free as possible. We understand this is a difficult time and we are always happy to help. Please feel free to ask questions at any time and let us know if you have any special requests. We will do our best to accommodate your needs.

A STATEMENT FROM RITA, JOHN & SIMON

It is really important for pet owners to ask where your pet’s cremation will take place and how it is being conducted. All our cremations are individual and take place on site. We do not send your pet away or do group cremations. Every pet we look after is treated as you request with a personal individual cremation. The ashes we return are only from your beloved pet.

We think it is vital that all pet owners are allowed to choose how their beloved pet is looked after. Everyone should be told what options are available at this distressing time. Above all, It should be easy for every pet lover to follow the path they choose. We are always available to offer free, no obligation, advice.

This is your beloved pet. You should be the one making this decision with full knowledge of all the options available and without any outside pressure.

For those who are not aware, the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) recently undertook a market review of the veterinary sector. The report recognised this is a critical market for the UK’s 16 million pet owners. It reflected growing concern at the rapid change in the way veterinary services operate. This includes arranging pet cremations.

At Nottingham Pet Crematorium we offer an independent service. We follow the guidelines of the Association of Private Pet Cemeteries and Crematoria (APPCC). We are proud to be members of this organisation. This guarantees your beloved pet an individual cremation to the highest standards.

We think it is vital that all pet owners are allowed to choose how their beloved pet is looked after. Everyone should be aware of the path they are taking. Enabling every pet lover to make a personal decision. Please do not be frightened to ask questions. We understand this is a distressing time.

Do not be rushed into making a decision you may later regret. Take your time and talk to others including friends and family. We are always available to offer free, no obligation, advice. This is your beloved pet. You have made a lifetime of memories with them. You need full knowledge of all the options available. Only then can you make this decision without any outside pressure.

Nottingham Pet Crematorium suggests this CMA report into veterinary services still leaves a critical gap in transparency around what happens to pets after they pass away. While prices may now be clearer, how services are actually delivered can still vary significantly and this is not always explained.
