Apologies for the delay in writing this message again I have found myself rather busy today 🙈

At the AGM yesterday the membership in attendance was given an update as to the current standing of the club and held a vote on what they would like to happen moving forward.

Myself and Teri are both stepping off the committee as of last night. Teri has a young family and working 60hrs a week can no longer commit to the club, and I myself have moved out of the area and between work, my family and my own personal commitments find myself drawn too thin to continue and frankly after the abuse I’ve had sent mine and Teri’s way by a small minority today I am mighty glad i am stepping down it has truly made me question the horse community. Please remember when no volunteers are left it will be because of how they were treat.

Anyway there was no one on the membership who wished to immediately step up to run the club, however a few of the membership felt they may be able to revive and relaunch the club in 2024 and the membership voted that this is what they would like to happen.

This means the club will stand in limbo for a year, there is a group being put together of people interested in relaunching the club in 2024 and if you would genuinely like to be a part of a new committee please message the page and I’ll make sure you are added to that group as I’ve offered to aid in the handover/limbo time. All parties that need to be added will be to that group including our landowner Natasha.

Keep an eye on the page as the group hoping to do a relaunch may run a one off event next year or even some online things we just don’t know at this time and they will be added to the page so they can start advertising etc.

With regards to trophies I have made the suggestion and Interested parties agreed last night they will be kept until 2024 by last years winners, at which point if the club has been relaunched they will be requested back in for the new winners to then receive them. I have a list of all winners and this will be passed on so we know where all the trophies are that we have had back. Can I remind people that a donation gives something to the club it is not yours to request back and there are far too many donations, from far before my time to track them all I am only human!

I will do my best to keep an eye on the page to answer questions I can, but as I’ve said above there is a reason I’m stepping down so it may take me some time to reply to messages.

Don’t forget AGM 6.30 - 7 before awards. Awards will start at 7pm approx.

We have had a tight budget to do presentation on this year. Enjoy, don’t grumble and have fun!

Buffet is a light snack not an evening meal we just can’t afford more than we’ve done and we’ve relied on generous donations to buffet too 🙈 feel free to bring some bits for you to have on your table or get a bag of chips for yourselves.

Drinks will be served at the Bar so don’t forget pennies for the Bar (cash or card).

Sharon Barth has put together a lovely raffle for us so don’t forget cash for the raffle too!

We will have music and lights after presentation to dance the night away and party!

And don’t forget your cameras!

A couple of Reminders so we have no issues on the night….

Ticket sales are closed we did give plenty of warning. DO NOT turn up on the night unless you’ve purchased a ticket. You will not get in and you will be turned away no arguments, if you persist we will call the police.

Secondly as we’ve said our venue is a pub ALL under 18s must be accompanied by a responsible adult. NO EXCEPTION. No adult = no entry simple as and tickets won’t be refunded, we will not have arguments about this.

Presentation is on the 10th of December at the Beacon Pub, Aspley Lane. Tickets are £10 each including awards, buffet and Disco. Under 3's go free but have no buffet included. The AGM will be held 6.30 - 7 followed by the Awards evening.
Tickets are on sale now here https://idrc.lite.events/index.php?id=68&event=2 or via PM to the club and will close on the 1st of December. There will be no collection of awards after presentation evening.
We will have a raffle on the night Sharon Barth will be collecting prizes and would greatly appreciate your support in this.
