🌸 Spring is the perfect time to get your pup booked in for grooming! 🐾

As we come out of winter, dogs naturally start to shed their thicker coats — which means more loose fur around your home and an uncomfortable, heavy coat for them.

Here’s why spring grooms are so important 👇

🌼 Removes built-up dead coat from winter
🌼 Helps control shedding before it gets out of hand
🌼 Keeps skin healthy as the weather warms up
🌼 Prevents matting (especially with damp spring walks!)

Every Christmas, Santa takes a quiet pause from the North Pole to visit the Rainbow Bridge.
He sits with the dogs who left paw prints on our hearts, reminding them they are still deeply loved and never forgotten. These good boys and girls are wrapped in warmth, comfort, and familiar joy as they wait patiently for the ones they love most. In this peaceful place, tails still wag, eyes still sparkle, and love never fades. For those missing a dog this season, this is a gentle reminder that they are safe, happy, and held close. And somehow, in ways we cannot explain, they are still watching over us with the same unconditional love.

Please do not bring your dogs to their appointment if they appear unwell or showing any symptoms
Parvovirus is very contagious and very dangerous. 

We have been informed that there has been a confirmed case of Parvovirus in a local veterinary practice 🦠

Parvovirus is a highly contagious and often fatal viral disease that mainly affects the gastrointestinal tract causing bloody diarrhoea 💩 vomiting, lethargy and loss of appetite.
It is transmitted via dog faeces, and contaminated objects…it stays around in the environment for long periods of time and needs high level disinfectants to destroy it.

There is NO CURE for parvovirus, but treatment involves supportive care from your vets-iv fluids to rehydrate, anti nausea medication to help try and encourage their appetite and possibly antibiotics if they develop secondary infections.

The best solution for Parvovirus is PREVENTION

Please ensure your dogs vaccinations are up to date, it is not a guarantee that your dog won’t catch it but the symptoms would be less life threatening.
Black and Tan dogs such as Rottweilers, Dobermans, German shepherd’s and dachshunds are more susceptible genetically so please ensure they have been fully vaccinated and they have had regular boosters.

Parvovirus top injections are available if needed.

If your dog is displaying symptoms of parvovirus please contact the practice straight away. You will be asked to remain outside until further advice to reduce the risk of spread to other dogs 🐶

Please stay alert 🚨 and pick up your dogs faeces and dispose of it correctly, we don’t want any of our veterinary family to catch this!!

Exciting Update!
Starting today, Chardonnay will be working from my cabin not as a partner, but to begin building her own business: Bubbles & Woofs Parlour.

I want to reassure everyone that I’m still working and not being replaced! However, I’ll be pausing new client bookings for the time being this isn’t permanent, just a temporary break while I focus on my existing lovely clients.

If you’re looking for a new groomer in the meantime, I highly recommend Chardonnay she’s talented, passionate, and ready to welcome you and your pups.
