CaDeLac dog training Classes are being cancelled on WEDNESDAY 14/08/2025.

Due to the forecast temperatures of 32 degrees, we have decided to cancel all classes on Tuesday AND Wednesday..

We apologise for the short notice and for any inconvenience.

CaDeLac dog training Classes are cancelled today Tuesday 12/08/2025.

Due to the forecast temperatures of 32 degrees, we have decided to cancel all classes today.

We will assess tomorrow s temperatures later today and announce if we decide to cancel tomorrows classes (wednesday 13/8).

We apologise for the short notice and for any inconvenience.

CaDeLac Dog Training and Behaviour Class Closure MONDAY 30th June 2025

Hello Everybody and I hope that you are well and eating ice cream. 🙂.

Due to a weather forecast of 32 degrees for Monday, I have decided to cancel all classes on Monday 30th June.

Because Canine Academy remains surprisingly cool even during very hot weather, classes continue as normal up to and including 29 degrees.

30 degrees is the cut off point.

Puppy class. Second level.
Excercise. 'Be happy on the car ramp'.

Dogs often NEED ramps when they get old, or injured, or are post opetative). But NOW is when we need to teach it! Not when they are old, ill or injured).

Skills on display: Focus on owners request in close proximity of other dogs and people. Enjoy being on 'odd surfaces'. Want to be on them..

Listen to owner when its noisy. Follow owners body or hand signals.

Learn some of the English language.

Have fun/gain confidence, together with owner.

All fun.

All good.

All necessary.

Due to continued flooding issues near Tollerton, i am sad to announce that tonights classes (only) at CaDeLac Dog Training & Behaviour are cancelled.

Classes will resume as normal tomorrow and next week.

Our Story

Dog and puppy socialisation and obedience training for everyone of any level. Also agility, educational public talks, private consultations, behaviour training, pet owner help and support, seminars, dog shows and many special events. Denise McLeod, the proud Owner of CaDeLac, started training dogs as a child, when she discovered an amazing technique for halting dog reactivity and aggression. In the early 90’s Denise had great success in agility with her first dog Cassie and later Lace and began to teach classes for fun. In 2001 Denise quite her former career and started training dogs full time. CaDeLac has since trained over 12,000 dogs and puppies and Denise has done over 1200 private behaviour consults. Denise is also the author of the Global hit, the book, ‘A Dog Behaviourist’s Diary’. Presentor of the ‘It’s a Dog’s Life’ education event and DVD. And the presentor and brains behind the Turn and Face for reactive and aggressive dogs technique and DVD. CaDeLac is proud to operate out of its main venue Canine Academy at Tollerton, Nottingham, as well as Darley Abbey, Derby and other venues in the midlands, UK. More recently CaDeLac has branched out into ‘Relaxation and meditation’ classes for dog owners (and non dog owners), also at Canine Academy Nottingham - being calm around your dog and in your life, is the key to having a calm dog!
