A request to everyone who follows A walk on the calm side. Please share this post and help this dog in desperate need of a forever home. It's not for the faint hearted but there must be someone out there who can give the love, time, patience and experience to save this beautiful dog.

Male cain corse cross- Experianced Home Needed.

I am looking to rehome my 3- year old male cain corso cross, BEAR. ( not sure what he crossed with). This has been a very difficult decision, but my priority is finding him the right home were he can be safely managed and supported.

BEAR is a strong energetic dog who loves walks and playtime, and is very affectionate once he feels comfortable. He enjoys cuddles and forms a strong bond with his ownwer. He is also quite sensitive and emotional , and does not like being left alone for long periods.

However he shows territorial behaviour, particularly around the garden and in the home, he is reactive around people he does not know.
I want to be completely honest: he has bitten, including an incident involving me. When he reacted to someone nearby. Because of this he will need a home with someone who has experiance handling reactive or aggressive dogs.

HE WOULD BE BEST SUITED TO:

= An Experianced, confident owner ( Large breed experiance essential).

= An adult only home, (NO CHILDREN).

= A calm structured environment.

= Someone who is home most of the time or can manage separation carefully.

=Someon willing to train and work with a professional behaviourist.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

He has not been nurtured.

He should be carefully monitored around visitors and strangers.

Must be muzzled at all times outside. He is use to a muzzle.

He will need ongoing training, structure, and clear boundaries.

REHOMING CONDITIONS:

A trial period will be required to ensure he is the right fit.

He will not be fully signed over untill I am 100% confident he is in the right home.

I would like to stay in contact after rehoming.

This is not a dog for a first time owners. But in the right home, BEAR is a loyal and loving companion.

My priority is his safety, and the safety of others. So please only get in touch if you have relitivent experiance and are prepared for the responsibility.

So happy to be spending some time with this lovely boy. Three overnight stays with Rocky while his carer is away. He's a big softie and fun to be around. Final night tonight and I know I'm going to miss him when its over. Love you Rocky my friend ❤️.
